Civil War#7
[spoil]Captain America gets subdued by the innocent civilian bystanders after kicking the crap out of a guy in a multi-million dollar suit of high powered tech armor,
with his fists, and all of a sudden has the realization that he was
wrong the whole time?? No fucking way.
I have read a lot of people elsewhere going off how out of character this seems, but I think Marvel still has enough respect for their readers to write a better story than what appears to be here. A number of far reaching factors in the Marvel Universe have yet to factor in, to me this smells like a great set up for later on. Tony Stark is now head of SHIELD? Nick Fury is still nowhere? Captain America's solo books are full of all kinds of sneaky shit, I'm waiting to see if this is part of some plan or if he's still all weepy. I don't buy that he surrendered like a sissy the way it was portrayed.
It sure looks like Peter Parker believes it. Allthough the actual change to the black costume
still isn't explained in this issue, it shows up on him at the end. I'm assuming his life going completely sideways twice and being letdown by both sides is going to make him the darker angrier version we have been told is coming. I'm also wondering if we are going to see the scorpion running away from a reunited symbiote spider-man or if he's just sick of the red and blue.
I'm also wondering how Thor is on the cover of an upcoming Black Panther issue when the clone got his ass Amtracked by Hercules. During the "Road to Civil War" a guy with the initials DB showed up and picked up Thor's hammer in a FF issue. Is that the guy on the Cover? Guess I'll have to wait and see.
The Hulk is still going to absolutely cripple everyone. And hopefully become the New Captain Amerihulk if Rogers really turned into a pussy and decided to forget what he's been doing since 1941.
