Feel free to delete, like they did with Saddam, Ha!!
EDIT: This is more of a General Dis response, so figured maybe I oughtta' move it there.
The video is pretty tame by snuff/murder film standards. The implications of the event make me wonder quite a bit, however.
For starters, Saddam allegedly had 18+ body doubles when he was in power. Are
we sure
they got the right guy? His wife didn't think so.

What's she got to say now? Were family members even allowed to be present? I don't see anyone in the media even trying to get her comment or reaction, and that might actually be news-worthy, either way.
Not to mention the alleged fact that the only thing the "dead man walking" could verbally come up with was a mocking comment about Al-Sadr (wtf!?!). How convenient for the current administration that the only thing on the old boogeymans mind was badmouthing the new boogeyman. If you were Saddam, and they were walking you to the noose, wouldn't you be screaming "Fuck Bush" or "Fuck the UN" or "Fuck everyone who thinks I need to die here right now"? It seems illogical to me that someone who
allegedly took over the oldest region of civilization by force, and kept power over it for decades by fear of his terrible will, would go down like such a meek victim. I would have at least kicked or spit at someone, and I'm not the former leader of jack shit.
The last thing that makes me very curious and distrusting of this entire event is the video itself. Why does it resmble the hostage execution videos of terrorist-days gone by? The shaky camera, the yelling in arabic, the thrill of the bloodlust as the act is commited and realized? It all seems very ritualistic. Shouldn't an event as highly important to modern society be better, or at least professionaly recorded? We demand better and more organized executions for average killers here, and we don't start highly unproductive global military campaigns over them.
Basically, the point I'm making is this; I never liked the guy either, but nothing good can come of this. I mean the event, not the video. It isn't something people should be happy about, even if it is legit. It won't help the current situation over there, it doesn't make up for past wrongs. It doesn't aid the knowing of the past or the better navigation of the future. It doesn't even serve "justice" considering his crime here is only one of many terrible many events still under investigation.
What's the fucking point other than "Happy New Year, we finally got someone! What do you mean,
'Osama'-who?". Thanks for posting video though.
