I used Adobe Audition to swap the channels and tone down the distortion. It's really an awesome program if you've never used it. It used to be called Cool Edit Pro.

I've got Cool Edit 2.0 (circa 2002). Would you be able to tell me if there's anything worthy of upgrading to Audition?

I barely remember anything about the old versions. I would say probably not though.

Are there any plans for any reposts to Usenet?

Inititally I didn't download this because I was hell bent on doing my own transcode.

Then I changed my mind and decided that I'm not ever going to get as good of quality as Zion's, so I wanted to get ahold of this.

I missed the first repost and my crappy usenet server has poor retention.

I don't have any plans of reposting it at this point. If there are enough people who want me to up it again, I might reconsider.

I just discovered someone reposted this on Usenet at...

alt.binaries.starwars

:heavymetal:

To whoever reuploaded this, and again to Zion, Thanks. :)

I'm sorry to come off like a begger but could someone please repost Zion's Ep. III edit at alt.binaries.starwars? I searched there earlier today and it was not up there anymore.

I would've downloaded this earlier but I only had a dial-up connection at home. I recently got DSL so now I'm finally able to download this.

If no one wants to repost it I guess that's okay. I only have a month and a half to wait for the official release anyway. It would just be cool to have something to tide me over until Nov. 1st. Thanks!

From what I can see, there have only been 2 things posted since my ROTS, so it should still be there. Try a different server or program perhaps.

Okay, I think that I found it this morning. I'm using Usenet and since I've never dealt with newsgroups before this is all new to me. Usenet's search seems to be buggy because I didn't find it through there but when I manually looked through the pages I found the files. I'll download tonight and hopefully all will be well.

Is there a VOB torrent file for us Macintosh folk? For some reason my computer gags on .rar files.

Peace,

Chip

Zion,

I'm just curious... where did you get the A Lost Hope parody from? It doesn't look like a conversion to me. Did you get ahold of a better source than the common version on the net?

I tried downloading a better quality version on a few torrent sites, but they all had the same crappy 11 meg video. As luck would have it, I downloaded the super high quality Quicktime version off of their official site, then converted it to MPEG2. I also ended up putting a few chapter points in it because I got sick of watching the piss test scene. (On that note, I'm suprised that the official DVD seems to have a lot of the chapter points in the same places as mine.)

A lot of time went into finding the best quality versions of all the extras. I also thought about putting the Jimmy Falon skit on there as another easter egg, but the two versions of it I had kinda sucked and I didn't want to sacrifice anymore space for the movie.

:o I didn't realize they released a higher-quality version. The one I have is just 30 MB.
