Fantastic episode - felt really different. Really wish it went on for a little longer. Could have handled watching an hour long episode. Seeing Vos and Kenobi together was great. I love how they're portraying him as an unorthodox Jedi Master and not as stoic, as the rest of them.

The fight in the canyons between the Jedi and Bane reminded me a little of the N64 SOTE game. Loved the diversity with all the Hutts and the twist at the end, was quite unexpected. Miss Snooty was great. I don't know if it's humorous or sick to even contemplate Snootles and Ziro gettin' it on.

Great episode. Loved how they explored Nal Hutta.

Nal Hutta was awesome - a combination of Dagobah and Lousiana swamps with Empire's Dragonsnake to top it all off. Hutt culture itself is surprisingly very cool including the Hutt mummy!

Quinlan Vos' introduction via the four previews and the episode's beginning dialog use of the term "man" was somewhat a letdown for me. Any apprehension I had was quickly overshadowed by the inclusion of Psychometry and Vos's Native American-style tracking abilities. More Vos and Ob-Wan episodes! :yay:

Image

If Lucas' ever changes his mind about the inclusion of Force-users in the Live-Action Series - Jason Momoa (Conan 3D 2011) should be a leading contender for Quinlan.

A very enjoyable Hutt-centric episode. I found the scene in which Ziro and Snootles express their feelings for eachother and discuss their plight oddly affecting and funny as hell.

(PICTURE ADDED!)

Great voice work. I also really enjoyed the dance number which preceeded that scene. I caught the Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom homage right away.

Mama the Hutt was a nice and creepy addition as well. And the ending canyon chase was quite thrilling.

I think Vos’ statement about owing Bane one sets up a future prequel episode for him. I wouldn’t mind if it was a solo story or if he was teamed with Aayla.

This episode was the most irreverent, weird, and funny of the series. Mama the Hutt was hilarious. I hope someone pays for her new front door.

Very good episode. The mob movie homages were great. Using Sy Fucking Snootles as a Femme Fatale was hilarious. I'd never cared much for Quinlan Vos either way, so I was neutral to his appearance in the series. But he turned out to be just the kind of roguish character many people were hoping for in the PT. Bane's badassery in taking on two Jedi and escaping was plenty fun. Good show! :heavymetal:

I wouldn't chose that guy to wash my windscreen at the traffic lights. Momoa can't emote, let alone act.
Vos should be someone with a darker complexion, perhaps Mediterranean or even Native American looking.

Or just hire this guy again.

He'll probably work for cheap, too.

I would imagine there would be thousands of unknown actors in the US, who would absolutely love the chance to appear in the LAS, to help jump start their career. It would be far less distracting to see an unfamiliar face as Vos, than that of the guy who wore dreds in Atlantis

Man, this episode was so great. I could watch Hutt soap opera all day if it was like this. Mama the Hutt was an inspired character.

Stack of parasites + feeding tube full of gunk + pasty skin + voiced by male actor in a Cajun accent =

Actually, Mama the Hutt was voiced by a chick. The same one who did Adi Gallia.

But I totally agree with you on this show. It was quirky and funny as hell. I'm actually sad to see Ziro go, he definitely grew on me with each episode. And now there isn't much reason see Mama the Hutt again either. (But she did have a starship, so maybe we'll see her in the background if ever our heroes visit the galactic equivalent of Wal-mart.)

They don't need to find him, George has a digital likeness stored of him, he can recreate any one he wants from scratch. :D

Wearing more clothes but now regularly handling a second phallus. Freud would have fun, methinks. :monocle:

Seriously though, I never thought one way or another about Ahsoka's wardrobe so the change doesn't make much difference to me. What I liked most about the article was how Filoni explains how the events of the war affect the characters. Hopefully we'll see much more of that as the series progresses.

Oh, and Ahsoka with two lightsabers is, actually, pretty cool.

There's a reason they're not showing both lightsabres in the same perspective. [spoil]One is a shoto, which was mentioned by Filoni in a secret CN video. :chewbacca: [/spoil]

:whatevaho: I'm blissfully unaware of Momoa's previous acting and was just going by looks. One question I have about the Vos is the elongated Qui-Gon Jinn saber he wields. I notice that my Vos action figga comes with one also:

I'm not sure you can make out the hilt from my lowres camera phone. Also I can confirm that the Cad Bane from the Cad Bane with Swoop is one of the best figgas put out so far.

^ Looks like a comfy blanket.

VT-16, thanks for the links. I'd somehow missed the videos before. Good stuff.

As an aside ... anyone know if there will ever be a CD of CW music? Beyond the feature film? To me, the lack of an OST is a glaring omission.

It's a $20 quilty thing from Target on my waterbed which I use as Hoth battlground during the day that has caused some friction from time to time in the darthy-household. The :weed: is the most priciest thing in that image costing $100. And yes a New Clone Wars Series score is needed if only for the film's cues which appear from time to time. From this week's episode I thought I heard some beats from Attack Of The Clones.

Starwars.com has a feature up along with video of Obi-Wan, Anakin & Ahsoka wearing this fall's new look. The accompanying VIDEO is bad ass.

The clones are transporting some precious cargo. Thankfully there is a Jedi to protect it from those bounty hunters. :monocle:

I will say that Vos' portrayal is not what I was expecting. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but he certainly isn't the character created in the comics. Hutts are awesome. More episodes with them please, and clone Ziro because he's too fun to not have around.

^ Considering how much the series jumps around, it's not inconceivable that we could see Ziro again sometime. Me likey that vid. The CW never ceases to promote itself as the Coolest Damned Show On The Planet™. Good stuff. Even if I'm experiencing cargo envy.

I really hate her having a shoto. Why not a normal lightsaber? The worst thing is that the reason for this change will not be explained in the series.

The best part will be knowing that the costume changes will help keep the time line of episodes in perspective. :heavymetal:

What needs to be explained? It doesn't seem to be a "change" so much as an addition to her fighting technique.

I quite like the shoto.

We've seen dual sabers, a lot. Ventress does it. Anakin does it...hell, Obi did it in the Hunt for Ziro.

This is similar, but not the same, and I welcome the break.

So far, Lucas-overseen productions have shown regular lightsabers, a Darksaber, curved-hilt lightsabers, a sabercane (originally shown in the KOTOR comics), a double-bladed lightsaber (originally shown in the TOTJ comics) and now a shoto (originally shown in the Marvel SW comics). The upcoming Nightsisters episode will have lightbows and arrows.

We're only missing crossguard lightsabers, lightsaber pikes, lightwhips, light clubs and long-handle lightsabers, and we've got the whole EU collection. :heavymetal:
