I hate MTV.

Edit: oh my god, chewie on drums. Kill me now.

oh dear lord... MTV really are in there own little world.

but at least we can look at the not 100% perfect cast for the prequals and safely say.. it could be ALOT worse.

Yes, he is. And as far as them not playing all of the videos, I wish they would at least play all of Green Day's "Holiday" video. That's the ONLY song in the entire countdown that had any redeeming value. And I notice that they cut away during the "political" message part of the song.

Regardless of what we all seen on the show today, The footage from the battle of Kashyyk was the only highlight.

Show highlights:

Mila Kunis
Michael Rosenbaum
And the Kashyyyk clip of course

That's about it. Let's get it uploaded and put this MTV thing behind us and let the healing begin.

Now that I think about it I guess that is a good thing.

You know, even if it did, it would be funny to watch all those clueless superfriends pretend to like or even know who the hell SOAD is. I love how the people in the audience love any band or "artist" (once again I use that lightly) that is in the countdown. Most of those girls on that show couldn't tell the time of day, let alone discuss the merits of a band with real talent.

I believe they only played about 15-20 seconds of #3. All i remember is the commercial ending, the show came back on to like the last 20 seconds of the video and it was over. Won't be too long before it consists of just a text list of the songs.

All I can think of and ask now is why in the hell did those asses get to see the movie before me?

Oh thats right, because they are MTV slaves.

Since we're talking about the videos in the countdown, Gwen Stefani should officially die now. I fortunately was able to fast forward through that embarrassing pile of shit.

Why do famous people have to "remake" themselves? I'm not saying they shouldn't grow or change, but to radically alter what you do with your music? She's not a rapper, she plays ska in a punk band, that's all. Now get the fuck over yourself and go back to No Doubt.

In case people havent noticed....TV is shit. Esp. MTV. I mean its shit on top of shit.

Their shows suck, the current mtv music sucks...that reality shit killed TV, imo.

Anyone remember the cool 'AMP' show late at night? I mean when was the last time youve seen a apex twin, squarepusher or whatever else cool video on mtv? Or anyone remember how cool AEON FLUX was? I mean that was quality shit...

The cooking channel is more fun..(seriously)

Aeon Flux was an astonishingly well-written show. It was new, exciting and intelligent.

Cancelled long ago. But a live-action movie adaptation is coming... Charlize Theron as the Monican rebel.

*prays*

Man, that show had a desolate, futuristic weirdness that's remained with me for 14 years.

I loved MTV X. All fucking rock, all the fucking time! They played everything from fucking DIO to Static X to Ministry to Bad Religion to anything that had a kick your fucking face and teeth in guitar and drums sound.

Then they took it off and replaced it with MTV Jams. Yeah, hey thanks, we needed more Hip Hop and R&B on MTV, there just wasn't enough. :whateva:

Man, I miss Headbanger's Ball, I miss all the experimental cartoons and animation, I miss when they got political during the Clinton elections (man, that Tabitha Soren interview with G. Bush Sr. on the back of that train probably unelected his ass quicker than anything).

MTV is just a pussy ass media conglomerate that wants to sell Gilette Razors and Good Charlotte to whomever the fuck will buy it. It did actually use to mean something, even if it never was the true rebel station it could've been.

Know if Peter Chung is involved?

I would've preferred a CG port, rather than a live-action one. To preserve the speed and contortionism.

I must be old because my 12 year old is starting to show signs of this fucked up mutated younger generation....take a little hip hop, some 70's brainlessness, throw some 60's wardrobe in there and a whole lotta ADD, and these are the young people of today.

Watching that shit makes me feel old...

The clip of Kashyyyk I thought was OK, I was never a big fan of the designs on some of the trade federation vehicles, aside from that It looked good.

I'd never seen that Obi vs Anakin clip before, also very nice.

I don't believe this is how the sequence will play out in the final version. I'd like some confirmation...

The vehicle that those two Wookiees are swinging off would need to be introduced hovering above first. Feels a little disjointed otherwise, as if they come out of nowhere.

Is the background score here, final?

That looked superb. Anybody bitching about it shouldn't bother because it makes them sound foolish. I didn't know we were graced with so many animators here at MF.

those troopers look fucking pathetic though. I actually liked the tarzan yell... I was worrying about that.

That wide shot of the scout troopers appearing on that tree or whatever just looked weird.... but the troopers in the battle shots looked good.

From what we've heard, the Kashyyk battle is really short... I don't know why they'd show that clip of all things. I'd much rather have left Kashyyyk for May 19... but I have very little self control when it comes to these sorts of things ;)

That clip was fantastic.

I'm really happy to see more of the sceen than just the wookies standing up and brandishing weapons. They look really great, as do the clone troopers.

No complaints about the Tarzan yell. As far as I'm concerned, it reduces the cheese factor of Chewie's yell in ROTJ considerably.
