"I have a few nitpicks but they are very minor."

This is teh internet, you're supposed to focus entirely on these nitpicks. You have failed. :)

Sounds like a great time.

"Padme says something about Obi-Wan being over to her apartment before the movie shows him being there."

She's actually referring to a previous appearance by him that is not in the film. :)

Thanks for the that. Many of the reviews of the film seem to break it off in to at least two segments (some say it doesn't really get going until at least the second half of the film). Would you say that is true or did the overall pacing seem pretty good?

Does Bail see that one Jedi Padawan get fired upon by the clones when he visits the Jedi Temple? If so, how is that scene?

Odd. Why would they "groan" at a beautiful shot like that? :?

Good report :heavymetal:

How does it stack up in your ranking of each film?

I saw it last night in the Ziegfeld as well.

Awesome.

Really, really great. I had minor qualms with some things (Natalie Portman, really) but otherwise it really stands up well. I'd put it right up there with ANH and TESB.

The fans (myself included) loved it. I CANNOT wait to see it with the fans on 12:01 AM. You're gonna lose it.

When I got a ticket, it was about to start and I actually collided with Ray Park while running to get a seat. Nice guy for not killing me.

Also, the fucking MPAA/Lucasfilm/Security people stopped me and made me PROVE that I didn't tape the movie! I sat alone in the backrow and when it was over they didn't let me watch the credits - they asked me to move along to the side and open my bag. They flashed some badge and made me show them my camera (I waited in line outside and took pictures of Sam Jackson, etc). I got really pissed off and they left me alone, but what a way to ruin an otherwise perfect experience. Assholes.

Where would you rank the Yoda vs. Sidious fight from the other Star Wars films?

BTW, how was the Mace vs. Palpatine one? I was always looking forward to that one the most. A little more than the Yoda one.

1. Not really like any other fights. Awesome is the word. Only thing like it in other movies is Yoda vs. Dooku, which is now an afterthought after this particular fight. They duel briefly then start throwing pods.

2. Mace vs. Palp was very good. Very pivotal moment in movie. I really enjoyed it, but then again I was grinning like the chesire cat throughout the entire film.

did not hear the maligned "Tarzan" yell during the Kashyyyk battle. I remember the scene with Wookiees swinging on "vines" but don't recall the yell.

I heard it - very faint, but it was there. Also, I could have sworn I heard Jar Jar say "skusa-mee" or something when walking away. Just me?

When Sidious issues Order 66, does he first say the Commanders' names one-by-one before actually telling them to execute the order?

I know he says it in the script, but I have a feeling George would cut it out.

Mace vs. Palpatine was good, I don't know where people are getting their criticisms of it although Ian does go a little over the top at the end IMHO.

Well, I think my criticism of that duel comes from the fact that I read that chapter of the book first, and expected a little more/better swordplay in the movie. Don't get me wrong, I LOVED the scene as a whole, but I really wanted to see Mace Windu whip his purple blade all over the place, and it just didn't happen to my satisfaction.

The one little bit I wished would've made the film (though it's strictly from the novel) is when Needa appears via hologram and commands Grievous to surrender or they'll destroy his ship.

What a rush that would've been.

One more question I can think of right now. There isn't much talk about Vader wiping out the Seperatists. That's one of the main scenes my friend is looking forward to. He hates the Seperatists. How is that scene?

gotta question, how "graphic" is the birth scene? are we gonna see any kind of gross stuff or just a lot of screaming from Padme?

In my version you see Padme's puss widen as the head of baby Luke squeezes through.

- "Wat Tambor, definitely. He's there briefly, and his whole crew of separatists are dispathced, but he's the last to go, and Lucas at least lets him try to live harder than the others."

thats from the revenge of the sith forum on chud, posted by micah?

I don't remember seeing Wat Tambor at all. It's possible he was there in the background, but I was too enthralled watching Anakin slice everyone in half to notice.

Birth scene wasn't graphic at all.

Hey...did you happen to have any trailers attached to the film?

Or was it just a clean Star Wars movie?

No trailers. It went in this order: Movie about the charity. Screaming and clapping as soon as Lucasfilm logo came on.

;)

Damn, I kinda wish he would say the names before. It would solidify the delivery better. But yet, on the other hand, realistically speaking it might not matter because Sidious probably doesn't have a close relationship with the Commanders anyway. He probably just knows a button to talk to the Commander and that's it. He may not know which Commander at the time is fighting where, etc. He just knows that they're with Jedi, and that he wants the Jedi dead.

So it does make sense. But can still go either way.

That dude was *massive*. Large costume turnout overall. I sat behind all the stormtroopers and Chewie was a few rows over.

yea i was loking for that scene 2 but they just didnt include it! you also dont have the scene of needa talking to yoda and obiwan and anakin after grievous jumps ship! on top of that they didnt show grievous promoting the junior gunnery officer by killing the senior officer for questioning his orders
