Sadly, it is. And his voice is jarring, because he doesn't have the same accent the other Neimodians have. He only speaks twice in the movie, but his voice does seen way out of place.

So it's acknowledged he was there but the audience never sees this scene?

Yes, that's correct. I had to think about that for a moment though. Because Obi & Padme doe share a scene when he does confront her about the father of the baby. To which Obi replies, "I'm so sorry."

Damn..Well, thanks for clearing that up. Much obliged to ya.
But to think..someone got paid for that voiceover, moreover they had the privalige to be involved in the movie!

Still..i'm being a pedantic fuck. In the grand scheme of things..who the hell am I to question the voice of a fictional extra-terrestrial character right? ;)

When did Anakin/Vader cry.

When Obi-Wan broke his Clifton Chenier CD.

Or was it when Padme told Anakin that she was leaving him for Wicket?

Actually, it was after he had killed the Sepratists and was standing and contemplating on the balcony on Mutafar before Padme's ship arrived.

Do you feel that EPIV comes naturally after this movie? Does it bridge the trilogies?

There's a large gap of time between the movies, so that will limit it, but does it feel like EPIV naturally comes next after this one? We all know story-wise of course it does, but what I mean is does it lead into it well or do the PT and OT still feel as seperate as they have already? Or does it now feel more like one big saga instead of two smaller ones?

Yes, I believe so. Even though I would like to have seen the Yoda shot there, the ending does not suffer from lack of it.

There's also a little thing I'm doing over at www.starwarslegacy.com that you might be interested in...

Excellent work. The restoration link is very interesting too, the colour imbalances on the DVD release always bothered me! Gotta say, the colours are all over the show when the escape pod lands on Tatooine... ;)

I saw Mike's stuff a while back. It's all very impressive.

and does 3 bridge the gap well?

Yes, very well. During the movie I felt the Qui-Gon scene should be re-inserted. It really wouldn't slow anything down in my opinion, so I hope it gets put back in (if it was ever shot and voiced at all).

Mike, that is by far the COOLEST project i have ever seen undertaken....I especially like the step by step instructions you seem to be giving....even though I will never be able to do that.

Hey Cogro or Oboe, how does the Duel end ? Is it like in the novelisation ( the better way , I think ) where Obi-Wan jumps on a cliff, Anakin tries to follow him but his too late and gets his limbs cut off.

Or is it like in screenplay, where the two of them share some crappy useless dialogue ( Obi-wan says something like : Dont do this Anakin, I have the advantage , etc. )And then Anakin jumps and Obi-wan justs cuts his limbs so the sith falls in the black sand.

Which way is it ?

Thanks
:meatwad:

I guess closer to the second.

They're both on the lava platform, Obi-wan jumps and warns Anakin not to come after him, he does and Obi-wan ends it.

give CoGro a prize... it's in the screenplay for a reason then I'd wager. Obi's lines aren't too corny though... for Star Wars anyhoo.

Ok thx. I think it really sucks but it wont kill me.

And also, is the film really THAT dark ? Everyone's been saying it's the darkest of the saga but it's not much since the star wars series has always been colorful and light-hearted.

Is there any moment in the film where u say : Oh man, its so fucking deppressing !

How dark is it compared to Return of the king and prisoner of azkaban ?

Let me see if I can properly decipher your question and form an answer...

The opera scene, which is what I think you're referring to, is one of my favourite scenes in the entire film. It's just bang on in terms of mood, acting, music, dialogue, VFX, everything. Basically, Anakin is hanging on his every word as Palpatine explains the superiority of the dark side to the light and how the Jedi are ready and willing to take the Republic into their own hands.

It's dark. Darker than Empire for sure. Does darkness = quality? Well, that's for you to decide, but there's no holding back in this flick cause it's Star Wars. You feel pretty down during the Padme funeral. That gets you pretty good.

sorry for the typos, but im just looking to see if there is a pause or a look from palpantine when he reveals that the sith can create life, basically how subtle is this? is there any type of reaction, and how did you take it?

If you're trying to alude to Anakin perhaps thinking "Holy shit, that guy could be my father!", it doesn't happen. He's more interested when Palpatine gives him the impression that this power could give Anakin the ability to stop people from dying.

I took it as a way for Palpatine to lure Anakin to the dark side with the promise of granting him the power to stop death. NOT any type of clue as to Anakin's true origins. Yes, it can be interpreted that way, but from the way the scene is built, it doesn't try to make you believe that is its primary purpose.

The idea that Palapatine is Anakin's father is almost as stupid as the idea that Palapatine and Sidious are two different individuals.
