That was awesome! Very epic.

Anyone know if the music there is on the soundtrack? Sounds like The Passion of the Christ.

This is the same ad as the TRL one, man the official site is slow.

Anways, the songs are "08 - Padme's Ruminations" and 04 - Anakin's Betrayal

Weird, there's like one frame of Padme right between the wookie world footage.

Just damn sweet. Disturbing that LFL pretty much has the entire movie in commercial form though. sad

if a commercial has got me to tears, imagine what thew movie is gonna do! I can't get ready for this film, folks. It's just TOO emotional.
Palptatine is just way too creepy when he says, "Know the power of the darkside, Anakin." It's delivered so cool and calious, it just gives you shivers. Ian has got to get nominated for an Academy Award next year for this. Breathtakingly haunting! whoa

The sword motion Yoda makes in the Gif above is similar to that used to shake the blood of a samurai katana.

If you go frame by frame on the fade out from "This Summer" you'll see a ship seems to appear out of midair.

Weird.

OMFG... this trailer is without a doubt the best one yet... and that song, can someone mix it together without dialogue, cause i could totally listen to it as its own song...

wow... it is so eerie, and it really spells out how this movie will be... the boy you trained, gone he is... consumed by darth vader, really rings true to episode 4 and obiwan telling luke about his father... one of the best lines of the movie i think...

and if its not, the delivery in "Rated PG13" is.... but seriously, if someone can mix the song from this without the dialouge, it would be great... its so eerie, it needs to be on its own for download.

Here´s a cheap mix of the trailer music I put together a few days ago after seeing the TRL screener:

http://rapidshare.de/files/1639415/ep3_galactic_empire_mix.mp3.html

I´m not sure if the timing is 100% spot on, but it should come pretty close, I used a bit more of the intro song before it leads into the part of the trailer itself, use it for what it is.

Regards,
HetH

thanks Het... it works, but its odd cause the music sounds nothing like any of the other trailer music ive heard so far... it really goes a different rout than any of them

Well both parts of the trailer song are on the OST, though they sound a bit more powerful in the trailer, especially the first part, but apart from that they are on the soundtrack and used in the film.

What does Palps say in the senate? There's so much reverb...

Now THIS trailer sets the mood for Episode III. Beautiful. I feel sad now. confuzzled

The music is really special, the first part reminds me of Black hawk down and a vietnam war movie. Then seeing the battle of kashyyyk with the music reminds me of a dramatic 2000+ ww2 movie. Wink

But somehow it goes well with the entire flow of this movie, the seducing of Anakin..etc. :)

If you go frame by frame, there is a fantom frame in between the kashyyyk battle and chewie firing some gun; both of these weren't in the trailer, so you cant excuse this by saying "the shoddy OS editors are just cutting from the trailers". methinks that either it is deliberate, sort of like an easter egg, or they're cutting from the actual master copy, in which case the kashyyk battle is intercut with padme crying.

and the ship appearing in mid air - it was there all along, it's just obscured by a flash, because it has just been hit

Thanks Femme01, this is my favorite TV spot so far.

My second favorite is the "To Protect" one, mostly because of the creepy sound of Emperor Palpatine: "...Once more the Sith will rule the galaxy".

Uh... okay let's recap.

I ask "Is the music from this commercial on the soundtrack?" A legit question since it's cool music.

Someone answers, "Yes it is."

So, since I OWN the soundtrack and would LIKE TO LISTEN TO THE MUSIC, I ask "What tracks is the music from?" In case that was confusing to you, that means which tracks on the original soundtrack, which I have right here, is the music from so I can listen to it.

I haven't listened to all of the soundtrack yet, pretty much only a continuous loop of Battle of the Heroes and Obi Wan vs. Anakin.

You're the one who said he looked in the thread and couldn't understand if it was from the OST or not. About thirty posts after this was posted.

I guess I expected more than a TFN response.

Actually, I DID see that exchange in the thread and if you look, that's an answer to someone's question "What's the music in the Protect ad" which is not this ad.

The music in this trailer is from the Star Wars Episode III soundtrack, Track 8, entitled "Padme's ruminations". I've been telling every friend I have that this is the creepiest track on the entire album, so it's nice to see it being used in this trailer.

thats the best trailer for this film i have ever seen, and i believe that there are two types of cinema: movies and film, Tomb Raider is a movie, Robocop is a movie, Episode 1, 2, 4, 5, 6 are movies, Psycho is a film, Kill Bill is a film, and this my friends is looking like a motherfucking film.
