I think I just lost some respect for Hayden after watching that shit. Fuck sakes, man. Who is that ass hosting? Thanks for uploading the clip as I could never bring myself to watch even ten seconds of MTV horseshit anymore. Pretty bad when you wonder to yourself, "Hey...where's Carson Daily?"

YouSendIt.com (YouShareIt is not working) link on the way... sorry it took so long.

I'd really appreciate the help. I was just on my way to bed and really don't have the time to wait for the upload again. I've been up since 8pm sun night so it's really time for sleep.

Holy fucking shit!

That clip alone makes me want to build a time machine so I can teleport to 10 pm. May 18th!

Jesus.

The hatred and anger on Anakin's face when they try to force push each other is amazing.

I think a lot of bashers are gonna be trying to find ways to eat humble pie after this movie is released.

Oh, by the way, here's a mirror: http://rapidshare.de/files/1543996/trl_clip2.mpg.html

No offense, but that whole critique of the editing is very first-year-film school. You say it disorients the audience -- that is the point.

If it is staged too straight, it loses its kinetic energy. This has to be hectic, almost scary, not just in vcontent but in delivery.

Switching perspectives like that is, to me, the kind of thing George used to be really good at, in THX for example. there's some shots there where you have no idea what is happening, it is just all rhythm.

This scene feels wonderfully tense, although Anakin's leap over the table is pushing it. There are a LOT of CG doubles in this, and I still think they look as fake as the doubles in Titanic, but that's jsut me.

There was absolutely nothing wrong with the editing in that clip. It was fast, but I (and the rest of my family) had no trouble following it.

Why would you want every little bit of an action scene handed to you on a silver platter, evenly choreographed, distributed like the audience is too retarded to understand anything but a long static shot from one perspective??

If cohesion were the goal, that would be one thing. But it is about the thrust of the scene, the momentum, the feel fo it, especially with Lucas..

Any editor will tell you that as for achieving a certain chaotic momentum, this is a very well cut section, although it sags a little at the end.

Because the average audience is too stupid to understand anything but a long static shot. I just noticed a little point in the footage where the fight scene seemed to cut...unnaturally... as in ObiWan and Anakin switching positions. Looked at it again and it seemed find. Doesn't matter though, like George said, people in the audience are not gonna even know about it.

Wow, MTV does ask some stupid questions. Its almost painful to watch because it gets awkard at some point.

And why does everyone on every show ask him to do the Darth Vader voice. Everyone knows it's J.E.J. I just laugh because its like he gets mad when they ask him to do it. Poor Hayden, at least hes getting immortalized for this.

Wow. That clip is amazing. I just had to watch it 10 times in a row. :)

I had no problems with the editing or CG doubles - I love the way Anakin skips across the room and smashes the computer console. So much power.

Even the smoooooooth way he parries all of Obi-Wan's strikes is cool, it looks like he is in total control.

The atmosphere of the TRL interview clip is unsurprisingly very much like the Outlander's Club in AOTC.

"Go back to your drinks."

Fucking animals.

Lol, that's the second time I've seen him being pressured to impersonate Vader. He acts like he HATES it lmao. I'm sure he's also aware of the uninitiated being afraid that his poor Vader impression will somehow make for a bad performance as Vader lmao. Poor guy. He definitely seemed "less than thrilled" to be there.

Here is a link to the 35MB Divx I made for #FalconForum. It is the complete TRL footage, just compressed into an AVI.

Sorry Shiban,

The links in this thread are to the TRL MTV video. The one on hayden's site is for the Regis and Kelly interview.

New footage only. I had some time to take out the high pitch hiss a little and brighten the video just a bit.
