tons of new screenshots, videos, interviews, as well as confirming several things in the game & movie (and subtle spoiler about the end of the anakin vs obi wan duel). cin drallig is still in the movie according to this, but only for a few seconds & in hologram form (we've seen the pics before).

all i can say is bring on next week! i can't wait to play this

Holy crap dude those videos are sweet. I've been looking forward to the game not as much as the movie but more than any video game I've played in quite a while.

Seems like a good read. I'll read it later. :)

Too bad I don't have an Xbox or PS2. Guess I'll make my friend get it... or at least rent it (he kinda hates Star Wars, but what am I gonna do...)

I really hope you have the ability to chop off arms, heads, etc. Some of the screens show lightsabers hitting characters with no real effect. The realism of the movie needs to be maintained.

i figure the odd arm/hand/head might be dismembered, but it will most likely be from the clones you fight.

but then again, there isn't really any star wars game that is realistic to the lightsaber, it just wouldn't be fair. its pretty much like every video game where henchmen, bosses, etc take numerous hits with a sword/lightsaber/whatever.

as for next week, they'll be some new footage to share for everyone here. i'd love to help, but i don't have any way of recording the movie footage, unless i borrow my friends digi cam/recorder. if i can, i'll get as much up as soon as possible.

OK due to my store getting the Episode 3 videogame in stock a week before the actual release date, i had an opportunity to play the game today.

I played the first 7 levels:

Level 1: Invisible Hand Hangar Bay.

Level 2: Fighting my way through the bowels of the ship

Level 3: Fighting on top of a moving elevator.

Level 4: Settling an old score with Count Dooku.

Level 5: Fighting through the Invisible hand in an attempt to escape

Level 6: Facing off against GG's bodyguards and assorted villainry.

Level 7: Investigation on Utapau (which i never completed after running out of time.....)

There are clips from the movie which start and end the levels, though they appear to have been edited to make the scenes shorter than they will be in the theatrical release. If you already had doubts about the General, from the stuff i've seen he is most definitely a Pantomine villain. I saw him laughing in true 'villainry' fashion when he learned where Obi-Wan and Anakin were. I saw him sucked out into space when he smashes the Bridge windows (after being surrounded by Obi-Wan and Anakin) and then using his grappling hook to re-attach himself to the hull before it's too late. Coolest clip was Dooku flipping over the railings, asking the Jedi to hand over their weapons to avoid a mess and then Obi-Wan igniting his saber, followed by Anakin and finally Dooku.

Jedi Outcast is probably the best 3rd/1st person Star Wars game ever made.

If they made a game based on the movies in that quality, it would be tremendous.

It's similar to the LOTR hack and slash games. No first person shooting and minimal puzzles. Theres little or no platforming as you can't fall of edges. The lightsaber combat is superior to the Jedi Knight series although there are less force powers.

If i a) had the game,
b) could take it home without being fired or
c) knew how to rip PS2 games i'd consider it.

Unfortunately the answer is no to all of the above. If i had a digital camcorder i'd film the scenes but i don't have that either. I'm really sorry. I'd love to help out but i have none of the resources to do it.

I'd like some advice re: purchasing the game: Should I wait until 12:01 a.m. on 5/5 to purchase my copy at the local Wal-Mart or can anyone suggest an online place I could preorder and receive it a day or too early? Just curious how everyone plans to get their copy. Thanks!

I just beat the game:

17 levels in all with a few bonus missions. The ending cutscene is with vader rising and Obi-wan handing over Luke to Aunt Beru

Yes. Music and gamplay is great. Not sure how much skill is needed.
The cutscenes (about 11 minutes of movie footage) make it a enjoyable experience. The Raid on the Jedi Temple and The Duel play great.

Care to elaborate on how the controller layout is setup? Dammit, I didn't get the movie footage from that thread yet. Oh my goodness, damn university, can't download sheet here.
