Good job Mike. This one can be put on YouShareIt, which has a 50 MB limit and no max download #.

I'm dl'ing and be hosting it on youshareit soon.

Edit: Browser took a shit on me and stalled out, I'll be back in the morning EST and put the youshareit link on.

For anything under 50 MB, use YouShareIt, not YouSendIt.

Nicely done! It's a lot easier to see this version, and the compression isn't bad.

I'm uploading 2 copies of this one and one of the original now. I'm also heading to bed soon, but will post them in the morning. Thanks to everyone who has contributed!

Very cool stuff. Really the biggest idea I had of what would be shown in the prequels when I was a kid was Alderaan... finally!

Oh yes......Alderaan was gorgeous. I had an ep III dream back a few months ago and it was mainly about Alderaan (it had Tarkin, Leia, and Bail in it - quite weird actually). Anyway, it was simply amazingly beaufitul and it had that 70's feeling to it also (clothes, hairstyle, architecture, etc). Seeing that little glimpse of Alderaan in the video was awe-inspiring and made my night. Suffice to say, I'm not let down with finally seeing Alderaan. :heavymetal:

EDIT: Damn teh Internet. I'll upload another tomorrow morning. I have finals to study for. :|

Hey guys. This is my first successful mirror! I have been lurking here since some time mid last year when EPIII spoilers first started. I have been unable to contribute in the past due to a crappy net connection...

Anyway, this is the original 90mb file compressed using DivX fast motion and Lame MP3 96kbps. Looks almost identical to the 90mb Mpeg file but only ways in at 51MB!

I know this has been mentioned before, but if you watch the video with Battle of the Heroes playing and then directly switching to Anakin vs Obi-Wan, the music matches up really well.

My internet (and everyone's internet who has this provider) has been going down rather frequently, and every mirror attempt has been getting cut off. It's worked for the last hour or so (a new record for today!) so I'll try to put some mirrors up overnight.

Near the end of the footage is a scene where Palpatines shuttle is taking crispy Anakin to be healed/built and they are flying into a dark stormy planet. Can someone tell me what planet that is?

The Alderaan footage is great.......Thx for the video!

I'm so glad I went to the bathroom before watching this footage. Visually this is easily going to be the most impressive movie I've ever seen.
You can tell the parts spielberg storyboarded. The camera moves around a lot more than Lucas has ever moved it.

I noticed that too, but it's not confined to Yoda or the duel, the parts that Spielberg played around with, I guess the animatic guys gave Lucas some ideas.

I wonder if RustyMuffler was fortunate enough to capture the 5mins of Obi Wan Vs Grievous for us.

I've heard there were other small things missing from the captures. Like a shot of obiwan on boga riding side by side with GG on his wheel bike. They are poking at each other with electro staffs.

You could definitely see the head come off in the theater.

The only shot of Obi-Wan like that that I remember was from the ILM reel, which was a separate entity from this, though still pretty cool.

hmm... I wonder why the frames are missing from the capture. Maybe because of slower frame rate?

It's possible. You had to be paying really close attention to see it come off in the theater - it happened in a fraction of a second. When it was converted, that part may have just skipped out for whatever reason. Had I not known to look for it going into the viewing, I might not have noticed it because it happened so fast.

Offtopic but important...

Can we keep our avatars below the 190px width limit? Not 193px, not 200px - 190px.

If you find your avatar is gone and the field is missing from your profile that means we took it away from you for having one too big. Just contact a admin (lol) or bitch about it in MF Comms (lol) and we'll fix you up.

Sure there is code that automatically re-sizes the avatars down but it's hard implement and test it when there are like anywhere from 100 to 500 people online at any one time.

Firstly, thanks to everyone for all the collaboration involved in getting this up :heavymetal:

I just love the overall tone of the clip. It is the first time we have got a real sense of the darkness of this movie. In terms of linking with the OT, check out the brief scene with Obi-Wan speaking to the clones in the starship hangar - that could have easily have come from the OT.

My other big yelp was reserved for the sight of Alderaan. Cool. SW needs at least some good wide landscape shots. RotS is going to provide them in abundance. It really adds to the depth and flavour.

Thanx again

I was lucky enough to see this footage in person. After waiting in line outside of the room for 1 hour, we were then thrown into two more rooms like cattle. Finally we get in, pretty big room, wide wise at least, after 15 minutes, everyone is seated and this guy comes out that kinda looks like Rick, didn't think people knew in the beginning. It was kinda dark, finally he said "Are you ready to Rick!" He then came out and said a few words, they showed this film. Holy Shit guys. The movie is visually stunning. I didn't know what to say. My friend and I just kept on looking over at each other in disbelief. Finally it was finished. He then took a few questions, then showed the behind the scenes movie where they morphed all the special effects into finished shots, nice movie, then he talked again, and showed the first movie again. It was fantastic. Best part of my 4 day pass. Gotta love wasting your whole time in lines doing shit and getting your figures to only see it on the show.starwars.com store when you get home. The convention sucked in my opinion.

Either no one has a smaller file... or no one likes you enough to give it to you...
