Never got a look in. Had a couple of dudes on the phone from 9am trying but the phone lines where chocka-block.

Looks like it's the UCI Norwich for me, then...

There were a load of us trying to get tickets online at 9am. The system got saturated and crashed pretty quickly - I didn't even make it to the booking screen before the thing was sold out.

People selling them on ebay already - I saw three auctions this afternoon over £400 for single tickets.

You guys dont realise how pissed off I am... I rang the cinema at 8.00 and the bloody woman said they were sold out.

I obviously missed out and there is no way I am paying £400 on eBay.

Those tickets on ebay are going for as much as £620 now, with four days left to bid!
You'd be better off hiring prints and your own private theatre at this rate...

...You wont get in! The name you give them at the time of booking, is the only name that UCI will let you in under. UCI and Fox are currently investigating a lot of the Ebay sellers as they are purposely ripping people off. If you buy a tickets from these guys then you a wasting your money. Even if you don't have tickets, it's worth going to London on Monday May 16th as they have loads of events planned for the day:-

1) sure there's the 6 film Marathon at UCI Empire
2) ROTS Film premiere at Odeon Leicester Square with George Lucas, Hayden and all the stars attending
3) The other Star Wars films are playing for 1 day only at the other big cinemas (ANH & TESB at Odeon West End) and (TPM, AOTC & ROTJ ' VUE West End) All superb cinemas, VUE is THX etc.
4)The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra playing Star Wars music throughout the day, as they did for AOTC premiere in 2002 - fantastic stuff
5) A lfe Size X-Wing (photo opportunities anyone?)
6) 501st Garrison Stormtroopers patrolling The Square all day
7) 1000's of Star Wars fans from around The World & UK visiting to view the events

All in all, a great day to be had with everything going on, even if you don't have a Galactic Passport for the 6 films

I myself am one of the few lucky ones and have a passport, but I honestly wish I could do both and that the 6 film Marathon was on a different day to The Premiere, having been to Tpm, AOTC and other film premieres, the atmosphere alone is worth going for.

So get yourself down there for all the fun of the event.

Any details regarding sales on ebay have already been passed to Fox Distributors and we will investigate in more detail. Unfortunately, ebay will not halt sales of these resale of tickets.

As there were only 1000 tickets sold, it is easier for UCI to police the event on the day than at, say, an event like Glastonbury. We would advise anyone who is thinking about purchasing tickets off ebay that they may find that they will be refused admission to the event.

Hey guys, it looks like my tickets might be available again, I should know tomorrow morning. (I put them up on eBay and I think I've been a victim of a fake bidder. ) They're a pair of seats together by the way. (Although you can make an offer for them individually.)

Did they cheer through the screening of ROTS? That would piss me off.

They cheered in quite a few places, but you know what, it didn't detract from the whole experience one bit. In fact it gave an extra dimension to the film. 1300 people were willing the characters through each scene, cheering on both the Jedi and the Sith, until it's ultimate conclusion.

I will say it therefore made it extremely difficult to judge how good the film really was, but then again I'd been watching all six all day, so ROTS could have been a two hour stand-up routine by Eddie Izzard dressed like Princess Leia, and I would have been satisfied!!

Maybe when I sit down in a cinema with fewer people dressed like Wookies, Jedi, Boba Fetts in tuxedos, and Padmes, and with an audience which is less euphoric than your average SW fan, then I can really see exactly what Sith is like. But I am so glad that was my first viewing of it, because it was remarkable to see it in that environment.

Yea yea, rub it in. I tried to get tickets for it. They sold out in five minutes, I didn't try hard enough.

Man, this was just sooo fucking sweet. The camaraderie between the fans was amazing, the atmosphere was just amazing. We cheered every major characters entrance, we cheered the battles, we booed vader whenhe comes on, we cheered when the breathing started in ROTS.

There was a lot of cheering done, but like thworle said, it just added to the whole thing.

Having George Lucas, Ian Mcdiarmid, Rick McCallum and Hayden Christensen come on stage was a dream come true.

It was my second viewing of ROTS, and as with all the other star wars films, i enjoyed it more the second time as I could take it all in much easier.

End of an era...

Now fired up waiting for Indy 4 ,after hearing it from the horses mouth.
