Sounds like Kyle may get top billing in this episode.
Actually I forget the General had blasters.

Boring. I hope they're thinking "omg 25 lets make it good" or something, because I'm getting sick of these boring pics. Especially last week, with the Rastafarian Senator.

If Grevious is bowing out there on that platform (or somewhere on Utapau) then I guess it means that his henchman are going to get the axe first. For some reason that set takes me back to the shot in the Marketing Reel footage with Obi-Wan striking his pose against the 3 blue-suited guys with sticks. I get the feeling that fight will immediatley preceed this one with Grevious. Typically the henchmen are sent in to stall the hero while the bad guy gets away or steals the girl or rigs the explosives or something.

So what is Grevious doing?
Trying to warm up his ship so he can escape or what?

And there was a very similar pic to this attached to the Set Diaries, with the strut of a starship in the foreground, a similar cracked/weathered paving floor stretching away to a similar-looking decrepit wall and a couple of really tall guys in shoulder to foot cloaks. Anyone remember that?

Well from the looks of the henchmen in the latest SW Insider, can we agree that the guys in shoulder to foot cloaks on that set (the same one as Grevious from the looks of things) are in fact the henchmen and the strut in the foreground is Grevious' craft which is bobbing off to the left in the BTH?

If we do then we have Grevious, the ship, the henchmen and Obi-Wan at the same location.
Sounds alot like the AotC Kamino fight between Obi-Wan and Jango..... :|

I liked Obi/Jango battle in AOTC, but we don't need a repeat of it. ;)

I'm fairly certain that their fight doesn't happen on the landing platform. We know that there's a chase of Obi-Wan and Grievous - Grievous in his vehicle and Obi-Wan on an animal of some sorts. That obviously isn't on a landing platform. Also, the back in black footage where they fight is not on the landing platform (granted they could be Sio-Bibbled in, but you think they'd at least use the real floor instead of green screen floor). This could be as simple as Grievous and his henchman disembarking when they arrive.

The Obi/Jango fight was on the landing platform so that Jango could make a quick, easy escape. We know this time Grievous ain't making it out alive. So he doesn't need his ship right there.

So yeah, I really doubt the fight will be on the landing platform.

From what I remember, the attack of the three figures is on a walkway over looking a vista and they are aliens that attack Obi-Wan.

BS's planet is a stopping point, from memory. I'm sure Obi-Wan is there to ask for directions.

EDIT:

The fight lasts for 1min and 36sec and Obi-Wan gets clobbered on the landing platform. Wirework was involved in filming this scene.

Here is more of this scene:

11.09.03 - It's All Digital Magic

One scene of a green walkway surrounded by green curtain and crash mats. The planets topography and architecture is unique and otherworldly.

One action sequence is OBI-WAN fighting CGI opponents against a breathtaking panoramic view. Another scene has OBI-WAN concentration on a group of armed TOUGHS itching for a fight. He fights FOUR stunt performers three green and one blue.

There may be problems with the blue performer and CGI effects later on. The TOUGHS are thinner than the performers and they wear cloaks; their weapons are effective against the JEDI and they are a step above the Geonosians and battle droids as enemies. OBI-WAN has problems defeating these guys.

------------------

It may be possible that Obi-Wan is ambushed on the planet and just barely escapes...OR GG barely escapes because of these 'toughs'. Pablo refers to the "henchmen" as Sidious' henchmen so I doubt these 'toughs' are henchmen. It sounds as though these are planetary guards, OR there are multiple GG's.

It sounds like they are GG's henchmen.

SI, if you go by the set diaries - there is only SIDIOUS' HENCHMEN and TOUGHS. There is no GG henchmen.

This sounds tooooo much like Grevious' henchmen. Wasn't there an article or something on the OS, maybe the webdoc, where GG was referred to as "Sidious' Henchman"....?

Could be, but it looks more like a sweeping gesture, that usually accompanies a force push..The force choke looks more like Trumps "Your fired" gesture, with a little larynx squeeze thrown in for good measure.

Well, I hated her hairstyle in AotC - it was more Nabooish. I liked the simplicity of this one as it is more in style in with ANH.

What scene is this? I assume it's before the assignment of missions, as in the night before Obi is sent after GG...?

(Also, when a chick's first pregnant is the best time to get up in them guts, especially if it ain't your kid even. I mean she's already pregnant, so you can go at it no worries.)

Padme likes the feel of cold metal flicking her bean.

Hmmm...this new one is making more sense.

- Amidala has meeting in her apartment.
- Obi-Wan confronts Amidala directly after the meeting.
- Amidala is taken to a Naboo starship by Captain Typho.
- Amidala is taken to meet Bail Organa on Alderaan.

Click.

That's because he keep's bailing Obi-Wan out of Obi-Wan's Mission which of course, Anakin SHOULD be leading. ;)

Well IF it's lightning then it looks like it's more powerful than Dooku's. He has his lightsaber drawn which should absorb some, if not all of it.

Also if it was lightning there would probably be some sort of lighting effects on his face ... it's probably just a force push or debris being thrown at him.

If he's looking intensely at the spot just in front of his left hand... he's probably trying to "ball up" the electricty in his hand as it comes in at him, like Yoda did in AOTC.

i think i would be prety cool if anakin and palps both teamed up on mace.
mace defending anakins barrage while palps frys the shit out of him.

i wonder how long this fight will be in the movie. in the one of the set diarys its said mace,s confrentation is going to cover alot of distance(enviorment wise) also can any one tell me which set diary coverd the OT set filming. i cant seem to recall the title.

I hope so too. A torrent of lightning that totally fucks Mace up. However, don't forget Mace has a 127-combat-move as well before biting it.

...Dooku's lightning was rendered completely fucking useless when a lightsaber is held up against it.

I interpret that scene as Obi-Wan using the Force to focus the lightning on to his lightsaber. Then it could be a skill that some Jedi may not have.

I don't see why Anakin would have to explain anything to the council... didn't Yoda himself try to stop Dooku in AOTC? If it came to it, Yoda probably would have had to kill him too. How could the council expect anyone to "aprehend" a Sith? That's just stupid.
