Great footage... but the first two are so UPBEAT... they must be targeted at a younger audience. The movie's tone going to be quite a shock to people going in based on those commercials.

Wow Grevious voice sounds awesome!!

I wish the movie had a more organic tone. There still so many rainbow colors...

Those were pretty kick ass.

The first two had the classic adventure Star Wars aspect, the last was a little darker.

Great footage though, I'm really impressed with Boga. I feared how that would turn out and I'm pleasantly surprised,

As much as i dont like upbeat trailers for a "tragedy" movie like this, i rather liked them. I like how the looped "battle of the heroes" on the last one, it was like a broken record. :)

Nice footage of course.

Obi Wan's deadpan delivery never ceases to make me chuckle. :)

"Always on the move" was delivered spot on, just like AotC's "good job" line.

Regardless of how these new spots have been marketed (and I can really see that these were designed to be 'kid friendly'), the action/adventure feel to them just takes me back to '77 again.

Excitement, adventure, this Star Wars fan craves these things. :chewbacca:

-1 for the voiceover, but all the footage was excellent. Grievous's line came out much better than his "prepare for attack" line that someone linked from cingular a while back. This month can't go by fast enough.

Those first two are unforgivably lame. Haven't they learned anything from the first trailers? Third one was cool, though. Regardless, thanks for posting them.

I wouldn't call them lame. I think the first two (edit: err, I mean jediaction1 and unite) are cheesy... but not in a bad way.

How do you do .gifs?

Well first I would have to convert the .mov file to a avi divx format, Then I open the divx file in virtual dub, I look for the parts I want to get, Then I save the file, Then open the avi file in a cool program called Gif movie gear, From there I can select all the frames, Resize them, or change the speed of the animations, And then save them as an animated gif.

Can someone mirror these, or link them via YouSendIt?

Everytime I try to view them via the official website, or download them, they stall during some part of the dowload.

Why is GL doing kid friendly spots when he said on 60 Minutes he wouldn't take a small kid to see it? The narration for these TV spots make it sound like a Disney movie. It's like the same announcer voice and everything.

I hope that shot of Obi-Wan dodging Grevious' vehicle isn't finished, because it looks pretty bad and pulls me right out of it. There's like a huge outline around him that just screams "I'm running on a green-screened soundstage and diving onto a gym mat".

Because Lucas doesn't cut the trailers himself. It's called a marketing department.

It's like saying "Why is GL making all these toys for kids..."

I doubt the marketing guy decides on his own to make some kid friendly trailers without Lucas' approval after all the recent press releases and sound bites they've given about how dark the movie is. He doesn't have to edit the TV spot to have control over that.

"Why is GL doing kid friendly spots "

Because 13 year olds are kids, too. And he said he'd take a 9 or 10 year old. And why the hell does this bother you in the first place?

I love the people whining about the voice over.

These people should take a moment and watch the ORIGINAL 1983 Return of the Jedi trailers.

The voice over in these spots is very very similar to the one done in the original ROTJ trailers and it seems to have been done on purpose (along with using the same Revenge of the Jedi look for the logo).

Wait, are these commercials for mentally retarded children, because the voiceover makes the film sound like it's rated G.
