"We have this other little thing we're doing," Lucas continues, "this Clone Wars cartoon on TV. It's so successful, we're going to put it out as half-hour shows, and all the main characters
are in it." He then adds, "Have you ever thought about directing an animated film?"

"I've been asked, but it takes a such a long time and I do like to work with the actors."

"Well, you don't have to be there the whole time; you can jump in," Lucas notes.

good decision on his part.. but what does he mean all the main chracters will be there?? it obviously can't be about the clone wars if they continue the show. hopefully they'll cover the space between some of the other movies.

They don't mean continuing where episode 25 left off, they mean continuing the Clone Wars series, as in more episodes about different battles during the Clone Wars. Like maybe we'll actually get to see(something that i thought would be answered during this past season) how Anakin gets his scar (I don't read EU, so if it was explained in that, tell me.)

There's still a lot of stuff they can do with the Clone Wars series. What we've seen so far barely even scratches the surface.

wouldnt it be awkward to go back and just show more of the time frame we've already seen, it would devalue the first 25 episodes

Yeah, that would be quite awkward. If they must continue with the animation, they should do something between episodes 3 and 4.

Fuck that, I want more Galactic Civil War battles, man! As of right now we have 8 movie battles and dozens of animated battles showing the CW, I want more animated eps to complement the three on-screen ones in the OT.

See this thread:

You'll have to scroll down to the post about Anakin VS Asajj, but there are scans of Anakin getting his scar.

No, he gets it from her, we just don´t see it in the CW episode, it´s only alluded to.

CW is a bit loose with continuity. Just look how it shot LOE to pieces.

Or vice versa.

My take on this is that ROTS more or less starts "in progress" -- Palpatine's already been kidnapped. The backstory is presented in two ways -- one for those who like to read, and the other for those who don't. For those who want all of the EU to make perfect sense, well, you're shit out of luck.

The novelisation of ROTS makes reference to the events in LOE. But I think both versions are cool.
