Does someone have a program that can take the audio track from the Tragedy TV spot, and edit out the dialogue so we just listen to just the Battle of the Heroes music?

The cingular tones don't do it justice, and it sounds so great in the tv spot. Thanks.

It is pretty much impossible. Especially since SW.com save-protects their quicktimes now (so you can't extract the audio track or anything else).

You can convert and extract to your hearts content, but actually removing the dialogue and sound effects is another matter entirely.

How can you convert and extract from a quicktime file that has saving disabled? You can't do it with Quicktime Pro.

I use a program from ArcSoft called Showbiz. It handles Quicktime files with eaze.

Here's an MP3 of the Tragedy trailer:

After saving the file, all you do is open a different quicktime file that allows editting, maybe a random fan trailer or something, and then drag the file you just saved to the other quicktime window. You should see a dotted line appear around the window where the movie plays, and then release. You can now edit the file you just dragged over.

So from there you can extract the audio, but I was just wondering if there was a program out there that could break down the audio clip to the voice track and the music track, but the consensus says no.

I remember hearing that the song would be available on the official site on April 4th for Hyperspace members. I thought I read that on this board but I'm not sure.

I'm glad to see (hear?) that John Williams was able to come up with a song that appears to match the sort of epic scale of Duel of the Fates. This may be redundant, but does anybody have a guess at what point in the film the song will be played (i.e. the Obi-Wan v. Anakin duel)? Just curious.

Cheers,

Ryan

Battle of the Heroes has that theme from when Luke unleashes his anger against Vader in RotJ.

Great! :heavymetal:

I hope it will be well put in though and not a repeat of RotJ.

You mean the Dark Side Beckons cue? That's my favorite track in the entire saga, so much raw emotion.

I hope that JW only used the theme subtly, as the track really should be exclusive to the epic father/son duel.

yes, most likely during the battle between Obi-Wan and Anakin. However, on the cd, there is another track referring to the battle. Namely, Obi-Wan vs. Anakin.

I think that, the Battle of the Heroes song is the theme of the battle, and in the track Obi-Wan vs Anakin, the theme is used in conjunction with duel of the fates, as George Lucas wanted.

I was dearly hoping that theme would play at SOME point during ROTS (I always envisioned it playing when Anakin made his choice in the Palps Mace duel). Glad to see it's included.

Duel of the Fates probably plays during Sidious VS Yoda, and Battle of the Heroes during Obi-Wan VS Anakin.

Yeah. As to what they mean by "preview," however, is entirely debatable.

that track rocks, powerful and exciting like all of JW's best work, and added to the images we're seeing - hell, this is going to be amazing. I think it's a great idea, to subtly play themes from the past but also to foreshadow things to come (ie the Luke-Vader duel) because the two trilogies are similar stories tied together by Anakins decisions.
Man, this is amazing. I'm really going to miss all this speculation when ROTS is out, I think because fans are almost unanimously happy with what they're seeing that this films lead up has been the most interesting. Nothing will replace TPM in fan fervour (or disappointment), but this is damn close.

I'm surprised nobody mirrored it earlier so here's that preview of what we might get a bit later on today. The proper non-midi preview:

I really don't see the problem. Its a version of the duel music in RotJ - and you can hear the influence of Duel of the Fates in it.

I am looking forward to it. :)

Are you serious?

How can you think this is awful in any way? It's a five second clip that hardly gives you an impression of the final result and you're screaming murder?

Jesus. Some of you people are borderline retarded.

The ringtone preview is terrible. That's mainly because it sounds like a un-mixed hash of midi bleeping and whining sounds.

The actual orchestral version sounds like it could be spectacular.

This "preview" is imo merely a waste of time :)
What instrument is this anyway ?
English Horn ?

This will definitely be spectacular! It has the sadness and the energy that I had hoped for. Like it much better than Duel Of Fates already! What's cool is that the last half of the trailer music has the same beat as the music in Ep. IV, from right before the Death Star explodes.

And if you pitch down the first half o the Trailer Music you will recognise tunes from the battle between Luke and Vader.

Edit: I think when you pitch down the last half it will be exactly the Death Star Explodes part. ... Or part of it ;)

You don't get much out of the preview, but it establishes the fact that John Williams *has* been thinking "backwards" when writing the new score. The English horns, or whatever they are, sound pretty old fashioned and made me think in directions of Towering Inferno and Poseidon Adventure.

I'm going to go on a limb here and bet they release the whole song, not just a 5 second teaser of the thing.

It would make little sense to hype this soundtrack sneak peak for about three weeks just to play 5 seconds of one track.

Then again, HS isn't beyond ripping people off. But I'm sure it'll be more than what we've heard here.
