I can't stop watching the Tragedy one. Some real acting! Finally! ;)

"Don't YOU turn against me!"...just perfect!

Yoda looks frighteningly real in that half-light shot.

I CAN'T WAIT! This shit has me feeling 5 years old again.

I think simply...

WOW.

Will do it.

Anakin and the troopers... "Noo!"... "Don't you turn against me!" "Anakin..."... just wow.

And the music in Tragedy... excellent!

Man tragedy gave me chills...that NEVER happens. I love when Hayden screams "Nooo!"

I really hope this movie turns out as good as 90% of the stuff we have seen is showing. Amazing!

Amazing... The Tragedy one is my favorite, and I think I liked it more than the Theatrical Trailer, just because it actually showed story. However, it does make me a little nervous about Natalie Portman's acting....her line seemed forced and her cry seemed...fake...what do you guys think?

I think portman is actually looking pretty respectable in these clips.

I think she's looking a hell of a lot better than she did in either of the previous films.

I just watched Unleashed and am downloading Tragedy now. 56k sucks. Sounds like Tragedy is going to rock. Just 12 more minutes! I liked that shot of Unleashed with Anakin and the clones walking up the steps, but I don't know about the other stuff. Yoda doesn't look completed, nor does the shot of Anakin and Obi-Wan on that floating platform. That odd, loud, out-of-place ending note at the end of the ad is the same as the teaser one. I'd think they would have come up with a better way to end the trailer, musically speaking.

Well, teaser is just a shortened (very shortened) version of the old teaser trailer. And overall, the new flow of that TV spot just doesn't feel right. In some parts, Yoda looks good, and in others, he looks, well, not so good. But then again, after seeing the 60 minutes thing, I think they got CGI Yoda down pretty good. Well, at least it couldn't be any worse than Episode I's Yoda puppet...

Awesome, I thought the commercials were terribly edited though, sounded and looked awkward, but the shots look nice.

Agreed. These things must take a whole 3 seconds to put together. Hopefully nobody was paid too much.

Yeah, the shots I DIDN'T like were that surfing shot and the Anakin marching shot, the one that wasn't in the trailer, the one before they come fully into view. It looks like it's from a bad teaser, in this case, it is exactly that.

The lava surfing shot suffers from the same problem as some of the cgi in AOTC (Anakin riding the potato and Padme riding towards the camera on that lizard thing in the Geonosis arena): the animators seem to have trouble with making any object moving in an unusual/atypical direction seem realistic. That being said, I'm sure I'll be able to brush it off in the movie.

What I loved: the jedi starfighter in "Unleashed" roaring by the camera making a TIE sound :heavymetal: Also, the acting in "Tragedy" I must say is looking decent. I can't wait to see this.

I love Hayden...he seems to get the job done well.

Portman is...meh.

That surfing shot is just pure shit. I mean why does lucas always have to go beyond then what it needs. If it looks like shit, why leave it in? Then again, its a 2 secs clip of that scene. hard to really judge really...but yoda looks amazing...

The AOTC spots aroused me in a way no other TV spots could. BUt that's mainly b/c they had Padme having her shirt ripped apart. But yea, I agree with you, Tragedy had quite an impact.

It hink it has a force field under it, but I agree, it looks rather crap in it's current state, but I have no doubt tehy will fix it and make it right.

I highly doubt they'll fix that judging by the time now to the time of the opening. Then again, in the Trivial Pursuit clips, the one where Palps appoints Anakin to the council, compared to the one in the trailer, they seem to be two completely diifferent performances, so maybe this is an older shot, but I highly doubt that.

Have the previous films had any difference in trailer shots from the finished product?

Yes...

Lucas will be working on this film for as long as he possibly can knowing him.

Yes, the main trailer for EP 2 did not have the AT TE being dropped off in the battle field but in the final movie it did. There was a couple of others, but I can't think of them off hand.

They still have plenty of time to do some tweaking - Lucas works on this stuff up until the end. And it should be noted that at comparatively low res QT, digital effects don't always look as good as they might in theaters.

In the end, if that's the weakest shot in EpIII, I'm fine.

What's important is that the performances seem strong, though the "Noooo!" and the "Don't you turn on me" I'm a bit unsure of.

Still jazzed all to hell about everything else (including the music!). What a great day for SW and MF.

There will be more edits. Check 13 second in the tragedy clip. Anakins scar is on the wrong side.

That lava surfing scene is not as bad as some people are making it out to be. When it's viewed as part of a sequence, it'll be much easier to take in. The same kind of thing was being complained about in a shot of Jango fighting Obi-wan on Kamino.
