I remember years ago, when the Episode 1 trailer came out that someone found a great still shot from a Kurosawa film that Lucas obviously referenced from in creating the Gungans fog shot before the battle. The Kurosawa shot had samurai on a hillside on horses walking in a fog just like the Gungan scene. Just wondering if anyone can remember what Kurosawa film that was from?

Thanks for any info.

It originally reminded me of a couple of different shots from The Hidden Fortress, Ran, and Rashomon.
Not sure if one of those films have the exact shot you're talking about, though.

Got it... it's Throne of Blood. Probably the only Kurosawa film I haven't seen yet, that will all change in about 3 hours.

Cheers!

I thought it was inspired by The Hidden Fortress, when the two goofy guys trip all over each other, roll a wagon into an enemy campfire and accidentally save the day...
