if anakin wanted to make it look like a mass suicide instead of a slaughter, he should have sent palp in naked, all the jedi in the temple would have went blind, mad or killed themselves and the horror effect would be much more devastating..j/k

why do you think yoda and palp dont use their sabers in 3,4 & 5..well mainly palp..

why do you think palp does not use his lightsaber in the final 3 SW movies ANH,ESB,ROTJ, surely he could have made another one, as for yoda, well it's self explanitory.

It's because his mum does his maths homework for him and he has free time after school when he should be out with the other kids playing soft/sadistic peer pressure bonding games.

Actually spending a little time WATCHING these movies might answer your questions:


-They do use them in Episode 3 (check out the trailers).

-Neither of them are in Episode 4.

-The Emperor has one scene via holographic message in Episode 5.

-Yoda is training Luke, not fighting baddies in Episode 5.

i always say no question is stupid.. mostly because i ask so many stupid questions.. but.. umm.. palpatine only uses a saber if he HAS to. that much is evident. much liek yoda. the onyl reason you even see them using sabers in the OT is becaus ethey absolutely HAD to.

for yoda, the other jedi are in a way his saber and for palpatine, vader and his other apprentices/pawns are HIS. neverthless there comes a time when only YOU can get the job done. Because you have nopone you can use ro for whatever other reasons.

most of the time for palpatine to use a saber would defeat his whole point. im sure palp would never touch that thing if he could get away with it.. i get the same feeling about yoda as well.. both in their own way seek to master and understand the powers of the force itself, beyond its physical tools.

to be honest, beyond all that.. most of the time palp seems to make effort to make his opponents think he CANT use a saber.. doesnt even KNOW what one is.. Luek would have died from his lightening never even KNOWING that the emperor was super ultra nice wicked with the saber.. (i think second only to Mace maybe.. and thats probably different on any given day (plus mace cheated by having a dark side based form of saber combat))

i tried for a whole day nto to reply to this thread.. but ... oh well.. im weakminded i guess.. despite everythign i just said (which i dont even know what i said).. Even King Arthur doesnt use his sword very much.. and hes famous for his sword.. but see he has those knights of the round and all that.. you know?
