It isnt in the novel either... they changed this whole sequence several times thru production... so the graphic novel.. and the novelization have two different sequences for this part

Quinlan Vos was sorta in Episode I, based upon a background character, and is a comic book favorite in Dark Horse's "Star Wars" series. (Which was later renamed to Star Wars Republic.) Vos is Native American looking and my avatar.

It's interesting to see the differences between this and the novel. I liked the exchange between Padme and Anakin on Mustafar more in the comic version. it will be interesting to see how it all plays out in the film.

I think the comic book is closer to the film than the novel. The novel is based on the screenplay by Lucas.
