I'm the Project Manager of what i believe will be the first adult tthemed commercial quality MMORPG (called Underworld at http://underworld.wecometoplay.com).

I have been trying unsuccessfulyl to integrate various art styles from Heavy Metal (Serpieri, Manara, Noe) in the ffort to create the primary female NPC in art form to use as a template for the in game 3D model.

I finally saw the Avatar of a user here called Jotun and that model has the exact dimensions I was lookign for. The problem is that Jotun says he does not know who the model is and has no idea where he got that clip from. If ANYONE has any idea who the model is in his avatar or where I could get mroe clips of her to use as the basis for a 3D model i would be very very grateful and offer whatever I can in return.

i tried PMing him.. But he said he didnt know and I dont want to be a psycho and PM him like a hundred times. At the same time, I can't give up, its my first commercial game that im self-publishing (after having produced applications professionally for companies since 1996)

I would rather seem like a dick for a few days/weeks here on the board to save myself another 1000 hours of working on different designs when I already have worked on her 3d model for that long and didn't like the results. i know his avatar is the look im going for so I would rather just try my best to find out who that is.

What can i say, i want to make the best game i can and if i have to sound like an idiot trying to find source material so be it.

I figured with as many detail oriented guys as the fans on this board, SOMEBODY shoudl recognize his avatar. I might find her whole figure and find its useless, but i have to ry nonetheless.

me and my (poly)amor were up for like two horus scouring websites playing cinderella's slipper with the ass from that pic.. she seemed to think it might be nina hartley.. i disagree however. i found some models with similar shapes (from onionbooty.com0 but their videos are straight porn.. no poses i could sue for my purposes.

What I like about Jotun's avatar (interestingly enough my game encompasses all of norse mythology (one of many) so there is a playable class called "Jotun") is that its simply a clip of teh model walking forward. i figured if i could find otu hwo it is i might find more suitable clips of walking moving stuff liek that

(as opposed to most porn or phat booty sites where they arent usually in positions that allow for easy 3d model reference if you know what i mean)

was somebody pullin my leg saying that it was bacta? I saw her profile and skimmed through her website. she seems like a nice, intelligent, cute person. i have the feeling i would really piss her off saying "is that YOUR ass on Jotun's avatar?"

good thing i didnt just go click "PM" on her profile.. saved myself a tongue lashing. She seems vocal enough to dislike the Bart Simpson Moe on the phone type of joke.. i can see it now "what made you think that i would post my ass in Jotun's avatar?"

so I guess I have to say again...that matt guy is just a guy I play a game with. infact I haven't even played with him in over a week. you're so dumb lol.

if I'm acting modest, it's because I probably actually care what that person thinks of me. duh.

that's pretty funny. but seriously. yeah if i was using someone's face or something like that (in a recognizable way) then yes i would. but i will actually only be (loosely) using that models muscular/fat structure.

even that won't be 100% based on her since (if you've seen his avatar) when her leg is all teh way back (in a walk cycle) there is a bulge that is realistic but somehwat unattractive, gaming wise (im reminded of the game starcraft ghost where they had to make the 3d model less "voluptuous" because of playtester remarks.. sheesh.. white guys have issues with but size... as much as i cant stand J.Lo I hope americans tyhink shes the best thing since sliced bread to cure you of your fixation on anorexic women)


oh yeah.. back to my point.. i dont plan to utilize any of the models actual skin tone ofr anything else identifiable. her shape is hardly unique. i was able to find similar hip to waist ratios on some porn sites but i cant use those models because they were not in a walk cycle, they core element of a 3d character model.

I do have access to some SuicideGirls models that are interested in being in teh game. I will use their faces and likenesses in additiont o their basic body shapes and I will have to pay them for that i am certain.

Any other models i want to use for the game, if I use their actual likenesses and such, then I would have to pay them. If people had to pay for simply using their body shapes.. wow Marvelk Comics would be out a LOT of money!!

after all your back and forth bickering now i AM curious what bacta look like.. and to modify the anser i gave above. if i had a picture of someone I KNEW instead of some random model, yes I would pay them to use their likeness or even shape in game.

one of the main reasons i am even doing a game si to have an excuse to pay people i like money for doing nothing (too difficult). For example, IThe game design document calls for in game security who will actually be roleplayers who get paid to polay the game for 20-40 hours a week. WHY? because I think it's cool and even cooler to let people play a videogame for a job.

I took those pics for two of my friends from high school (naomi and michelle to be exact) and they paid me 40 bucks lol. I told you this a long time ago.
