Azurues.

I usually use Torrent Storm, but this one was reccomended to me for this.

I'm rockin' the TorrentStorm 1.3.0.0-1, and I'm transferring at about 50-75 kB/s. Is Azurues considerably faster?

I'm almost done. I'm rocking up to 134 kb/s right now and getting higher. As soon as I'm done I will post it here and start the yousendit process. I will also act as a seeder to help everyone else along. So if you don't have BT just PM and I'll be more than happy to hook you up via yousendit. Just please wait until I post completation.

Damn, the internet is so fucking cool.

In case anyone hasn't heard the news yet - Wal-Mart is officially aware now that the books were listed as available by mistake. They are aware the books are supposed to be out until the 2nd. The problem was that Del Rey ships them direct, so Wal-Mart never had possession of the books to begin with.

The good news is, at least in my case, they've arranged to have the books shipped out for "arrival" on the 2nd.

The other main issue is that walmart.com are 'tards and it took their corporate office to figure this out. In case you're keeping score, the books are still available and "in-stock" if you check the website now.

Im actually very Pleased with how its gone. For the Most part. The users here have shown why I chose to release it here before any other place.

51 Completed Copies have been seeded. of that only 20 have left and not seeding. Very Good percentage compared to the usual Seeder/leech ratio.

The best (and only) one I've gotten to work is a 10.3 only Mac Bittorrent: http://mac.softpedia.com/progDownload/BitTorrent-Download-3302.html

still trying to figure out how to set it up with my funky firewall though.

As soon as I get a link to download and get the file I will put it on Emule. All the torrent programs are on my husband's computer and I'm not going to botch up his dl's.

The usendit link isn't working for me-- says unavailble.

Lemme see if I understand...

So If I want to help I just leave my BT program running and once I've downloaded it I can be a seeder?

My PC's on all the time regardless, I don't mind.

Hey guys. I'm looking for a program that will convert audio (MP3) to text. Can anyone help me out? Once I get it, I'll convert the entire book to text, and we can all read it. :)

I wonder how many pages we would be on by now if it weren't for the "Heavily Moderated" clause.

:chewbacca:

Perhaps, YouSendIt/YouShareIt links should be "PM-Only" for the time being given the traffic here.

Just hang around, it'll get quicker as you hit more seeders.

To seed, just leave your torrent download programme running -- pretty much every programme I've ever encountered seeds by default once download is complete. Do everyone a favour and share the load once you've got your copy - it's not hard to do while you're listening to it.

Azuerus or whatever you call it is supposedly the fastest bit torrent client out there. However it is resource intensive and a memory hog on some systems.

It's possible to have a extreme leeching ratio with Azureus i.e 5kbs up, 400kbs down.

http://azureus.sourceforge.net

I suggest uttorent. It's very lightweight it's program files only consists of one executable binary!

My dl rate reads--78 ul rate- 37
dsl/cable fast setting

Am I doing everything okay?

I'm using BitTornado and it works like a charm. I set it to Automatic and I'm still able to surf okay.

As for the wait... I'm tokin on the :weed: Hashyyyk from Kashyyyk :weed: and drinking a Guinness.
:chewbacca:
Good times.

Thank you BTW whoever has made this possible.

Okay, I've just finished the download on BitTorrent and I've left it open for everyone else.

This is the first time I've used BT and the first time I have seen an RAR file. How do I unload this file and then how can I convert to an MP3? Sorry for the silly question, but I've just never seen this type of file. Thanks to everyone who has worked so hard.

Hey, keep us updated on that. I'd either like a copy of the text, or just let me know what the software is, and I'll make a copy myself.

Thanks.

And keep seeding, guys. I'm seeing 91 seeds, and 418 peers. 4.5 to 1 ratio. We can do better than that.

I just went to extract the .rar and it said damaged no folders. BT said it was 100% successful-- hmm...?

Just a quick question. How do you get a yousendit link? I don't need to DL the CDs. Already done that. I'm sending the stuff directly thru yousendit and it's taking several hours to do so. Would it be quicker to just send a link?

you need to upload the file to yousendit. It will take anywhere from2 hours or more or less depending on your upload speed. when you finish it will give you a link that will work for 25 people only

it sends the link only to the person you send it to so they would contain links that 24 others could use. to get the link yourself just dnt put in an email to send it to. just chose the file and click upload once its uploaded youll see the link on that page
