Is it just me or did they decide to do away with Classic star wars music for 85% of the show.

Chapter 21 had great music throughout. But the music in Chapter 22 was un-Star Wars like; especially the beginning. I really think they blew it not using more starwars themed music. It kind of loses that mood and feel of the films this way.

Any thought or opinions?

I've noticed it sounds more synthesized and utilizes less orchestrated cues from the films as they did in the first two seasons... not real distracting, but a noticable difference.

So really you've only seen the first two episodes and decided it's 85% of the whole show?

I noticed that they've dropped the pre-recorded LPO score but the synthesised music is still playing Classic Star Wars cues, at times used in a better way than they ever could using the pre-recorded work. The variations used during Anakins Knighting and take off scene alone were well worth a listen.

I think I was too busy watching the show and taking in the eye candy to worry about a nitpick that petty but hey, that's just me.

No ive watch all up thru 24. I just htought that episode 22 was particularly bad in that respect.

The knighting music was very good, one of the best moments musically.

It might be nitpicky but if its supposed to be star wars it should sound like star wars. I think they tried to get too creative designing their own stuff which didnt turn out as good as say the music during the Asajj-Anakin duel Ep.19

Lets hope 25 is better.

I honestly never really noticed when they switched between the score and the synth music, it still sounded suitably Star Wars-y to me that I never really gave it that much thought.

I totally see why you might see it as lesser music though. I think 25 will be the Daddy as far as Clone Wars goes. I thought 24 was immense but figure 25 has to be better.

Yeah I think 25 will rock :heavymetal: I wonder if any of the Jedi get shredded by Grevious. I think the Ithorian and that white furry guy look ripe for the slaughter.

Shak-Ti must live though im guessing.

U nnotice grevious is different in Ep 23-24 then he was in the other episodes. His color is now what he is in the movie and his face and armor looks more akin to the real Char.

strange they didnt do it in 22 though....

I've been a long-time lurker, and just recently signed up. This is my first post.

I have to agree that the knighting music is the best of the series so far. I've only seen up to 23, but will hopefully be able to see 24 later on today. Of course the new music for the series can never live up to the John Williams creations, but I actually like the fact that it has some new music. I like most of it actually, and there's only a few parts I don't like.

In fact, if they produced a soundtrack, or somebody could rip the music (I'm assuming that the DVD's 2.0 stereo and not 5.1 - therefore making the music rip a bit out of the question), I would love to have it. Anybody here ever heard of anything pertaining to a release of the music? Even as downloadable samples on a website or something?
