If you have the previous size downloaded, it's pretty useless.

it's not useless if you are going to put it on DVD, it's full DVD resolution.

The sound quality is worse than the HDTV rip... Funny that I can't save it with Firefox anymore...

No it isn't.

It's a tad better resolution than the large version. Make it full screen and there's barely a difference between this ex-large version and the large one.

Been waiting for this.

The HDTV version plays kind of laggy, so this version will be welcome.

It is DVD resolution. I don't know what DVD resolution is on your planet, but 720x480 is the resolution here on Earth. They have cropped off the widescreen bars on the top and the bottom of the screen for a final resolution of 720x310.

watched the hi-res one twice now but I can't download it. Any tips? I've used a couple of ways I have done before but doesn't seem to work.

All of the TV-Rips are in 1,85:1 Widescreen, only the official version from sw.com shows the entire Image. No Contest for me.

Log into Hyperspace by following this link.

Then use your browser’s back button twice to return to this thread. Then right-click here and "Save Target As".

Dead easy!

This link will only work if successfully log into Hyperspace. Otherwise you will just download a web page looking for authentication, or you will get a file does not exist error.

Hmm it's a slight improvement. Thing is, a lot of cinemas that screen the trailer (at least here in the UK) are doing it in 16:9 anyway, which means you're still getting the same aspect ratio when you watch the HDTV trailer. I know the official site one is the full picture and all, but it's only a trailer, I can live without those extra few pixels at either end of the image if it means I'm getting awesome quality, especially if I know I'm not missing anything that I'd see in the cinema.

Still DL'd it for the sheer hell of it, though. :chewbacca:

That's the only thing I hated about the HDTV rip. Personally, I'm going to try adding the 5.1 audio to this new version.

Apologies if I've missed something here, but the version I downloaded now has the Hyperspace logo in the bottom corner. Neil's and Wilde's nice screencaps don't have it.

Is there a way to remove this, or have the OS just updated the trailer file to include the HS logo?

thanks for any insight

The screens that show the difference between the HDTV frame and the web trailer frame use the now free one. The HS/AOL one has 'www.starwars.com' in the bottom right corner.

Glad Neil posted the comparison--I've been wondering why so many people were totally content with the 1.85:1 cropped versions.

Now...how about that HS extra large trailer...for the non-paying cats?

I came. I saw. I drooled all over my keyboard.

Seeing it in its original aspect ratio was like seeing it again for the first time. Amazing.

Yeah, when will it be available for non-hyperspace members to freely download? I dont think the Teaser did that though...

Indeed, is good to watch it in widescreen...

some details are interesting, the full view of Coruscant surrounding the temple and many other things that are lost in the HDTV rip... I particulary liked the Utapau Landscape...

the quality of the sound, however, is quite poor..

anyway, I don´t understand why everyone is hoping to be spoonfed when there are other places to get what you want

(or what?, you think I´m HS member? puleeeeze!!!)

I just got the scoop about the HS large trailer here and went straight to the place where the goodies flow...

what place?

Say I cannot, or get banned I will...
