hi, this would be my first post, but I have been viewing the website for a year. I thought I would ask a question that has been bothering me, and if it has been asked, forgive me, I have not seen it asked before.

In ANH Ben claims to never owning a droid, yet he does "own" the R4 droid in ep 2... Is there any reason he says to not owning a droid? Again sorry if this has been asked.

And even if we don't get that specific, there is no place in AOTC where Obi-Wan says "I OWN YOU, R4!"

R4 is just a droid. He's on the ship Obi-Wan is flying. That doesn't mean he owns him, any more than Anakin "owns" R2 just because he's modified him or whatever. Droids are just droids, not real estate.
