Is this from the book or the film?

Novel. Highly unlikely that 'Decoy Squad Five' will have a lengthy back story.

If this does make it into the film then It will be a cool scene. This film keeps sounding better and better.

Funny and awesome.

By the way, the Clonetroopers disguising themselves as Jedi reminds me of a cut-scene from ROTJ, where a Rebel commando disguises himself as a scout-trooper. The scene was cut, but you can still see him in scout-trooper-drag in the movie, when Han, Leia and the others are led out by Imperial soldiers.:)

I can understand why this film is getting a mature rating. A little kid seeing yoda taking some guys face off would certainly be traumatised!

A saber across the face can't feel good!
And Yoda merely disguised as a baby is no worse than him going psycho rumaging through Luke's gear, and being fascinated by a fucking flashlight!
At first Yoda's 'clue' line didn't sit well with me. Then it became apparent that even Yoda has taken enough shit by this point. If this was the last movie in the series, it would've been cool as Hell watching Yoda go completely vindictive on Sith ass

Well, not at all what I would have expected, but I do like it. I definitely like that Obi-Wan warns them that no one has to get hurt, but they come anyway. I can't wait.

I've got to pick up Labyrinth of Evil. I've never been into reading the books (Timothy Zahn and all that; although a friend is going to let me borrow some to read) but I would like to at least read this one and learn more about Commander Cody and the Clone Wars.

That's funny. I can picture yoda saying it just like he said "When 900 years old you reach, look as good you will not. Hmmmm?"

But does it deal with the Clone Wars at all? What is the main focus of the book?

The next big spoiler: Find out when the baby Yoda farts.

Thanks for the news Tern. Do you think this may be the last of your reports before the shit hits the fan with delivery of the books over the next few days?

Love the idea opf Yoda dn Obi-Wan formulating a plan to take out the troopers that stand between them and the Jedi Temple. Really cool how it seems as though both Obi-Wan and Yoda are sorta like "Fuck it, this shit's gone too far, it's time to kick some ass". The Obi-Wan "nobody has to get hurt" line is a classic. '.We don't want to, but if you try anything and we'll just kill you all' is obviously what he's saying.

To me it seems to echo Han & Luke disguised as stormtroopers bringing Chewie to the prison cells aboard the Death Star in ANH.

"Clipped Coruscanti accent" is EU for OT-Imperial-officer-style English accent.

oh man that moment better make it into the film because that is truly classic. It has a certain badass element as well as a humor element all at the same time.

It's decent.

I wouldn't have had Yoda say anything until after he sliced the guy's face:

"A lightsaber, perhaps."

I love this! Now this is exactly the sense of fun and humour that I like to see in SW - doesn't rely on a fart joke or a terrible pun but it's a great character moment. Brilliant.

The Clone Trooper better say 'What the?' like the Scout Trooper with the Ewok in ROTJ.

I don't like it. I'm not a fan of Yoda dropping clever one-liners. It is not really consistent with his character in the other movies.

That was different (uh... obviously). He was fucking with Luke to point out a weakness, as part of his training. When it was time to get down to business, he wasn't dropping Schwarzenegger-like one-liners like this.

Just one quick comment about children being "traumatized" by the violence in RotS:

I saw the original Star Wars in 1977 when I was 5 years old, and it featured a man being choked to death and thrown against a wall, people's bodies actually catching on fire when shot with lasers, the burned and smoldering remains of Luke's foster parents, one of them apparently laying in a puddle of its own vomit, Han Solo shooting an alien in the balls, a guy nearly drowning, people being crushed to death in a trash compactor, a number of people burning up in firey spaceship explosions, and Ben Kenobi getting decapitated by a lightsaber (or so I thought.)

Forgive me, but it appears I survived psychologically intact. And I didn't wear spacesuits and crash helmets just to ride a bicycle either.

When someone's internal organs come spewing out of their lightsaber wound, coating the camera lens while they spasm and write in agony, we can talk. Until then these aniseptic little cauterized lightsaber effects hardly merit a yawn, let alone hyperbolic appellations like "traumatic".

If Anakin catching fire plays anything like that dude getting fried in The Green Mile, now you've got something.

He's got a point. From the trailer, all we can see and hear is a squeal, put together with a burn mark across the chest. But that's only that scene. We still have:

Dooku's head.

Kit Fisto's head, and maybe the other three Jedi.

Padme, a woman, being choked and thrown against a wall(maybe).

I think that the Padme choke and throw, along with her being pregnant, is enough to get a PG-13 on its own.

We've never seen Yoda "get down to business," or at least not this business, until now. An objective viewer watching these movies is not going to say, "hmmm... inconsistent with Yoda's character this is..."

Anybody who liked Money Train enough to copy something out of it is probably going to get killed doing something stupid anyway.

And Yoda preaches against being cocky and arrogant every other time he opens his mouth. One-liners like this are the exact opposite of that.

So maybe he's not being cocky and arrogant in that scene.

I distinctly remember in 1980 feeling that the whole muppet-as-Jedi thing was total horseshit and would be out of character.

Now we're saying that that Jedi muppet who sounds like Miss Piggy doing her Lotte Lenya impersonation is saying dialogue that is "inconsistent?"

I don't get what the problem is.

Yoda just never struck me as a big shit-talker.

Didn't Lucas take out "The end for you, this is, count dooku" in AOTC for that reason? Or was that just a rumor?

Shit, maybe Yoda will be dropping them right and left. Maybe there will be a clone named Bennett that Yoda will tell to let off some steam.

Hadn't heard that about a Yoda line like that being cut. But, yeah you're right I hadn't thought about Yoda saying stuff like that before either. But I also never thought about him not saying it. I guess we'll just have to wait and see how it works.
