Comingsoon.net on the closing moments of ROTS:

Quote:
A reader, who reportedly has seen a rough cut of Revenge of the Sith, sent in this report on the final moments of the film:

This is the final sequence after the last spoken words in the movie (c-3po's "Oh no" reaction to the fact that his mind will be wiped):

There is a big funeral procession for Padme on Naboo (I mean thousands of people), with Jar Jar, Sio Bibble, the current queen etc...Jar Jar only appears in the movie at the Padme's funeral (and does not speak).

Then we see Vader and Sidious arriving on the bridge of Star Destroyer. The destroyer looks "almost" the same as the ones from the original episodes, the crew have "almost" the same uniforms and hats and the young captain is probably Tarkin - he looks very much like young Peter Cushing! (This is where the final trailer shot comes from.)

Then we see Bail Organa's Corvette arriving on his Alderaan, then sitting on the balcony with his wife and infant Leia.

We cut to Tatooine where Obi-Wan arrives to Skywalker farm with infant Luke. He gives him to Beru and turns back to the desert. Beru takes Luke to Lars who is standing on the dune and they both watch the two suns over the horizon. THE END

Surprisingly, Ian McDiarmid really steals this movie. The things he can do with his voice are unbelievable. (By the way, his "Rise" in the trailer is NOT from Darth Vader birth scene) but from the middle of the movie when Anakin pledges his allegiance to him.)

The whole battle on Kashyyk is really very short, just a few shots.

Scott also had this to say on TFN:

Quote:
And the report is from a reliable source. Any differences between this report and previous ones can most likely be chalked up to the fact that the film is still in a state of flux at this very moment....

And no, this is not the same source as the Yoda farts rumor. In fact, I asked this guy that provided this report and he told me Yoda farting is NOT in the movie. I was hoping he would just to spite everyone, but now I have to eat my pride and admit there's no farting Yoda (though I still believe at one time the idea was kicked around by Lucas).

The tough thing about spoilers at this point is that pretty much everything that could be revealed HAS been revealed. The main reason I posted the report was because of the few things that seemed new to me, ie Jar Jar's limited screen time, the short screen time of the Kashyyyk battle, and the fact that McDiarmid steals the show.

I should also add that this source may have missed seeing Jar Jar in a Senate scene. I'll quiz them about that, but I have no doubt this source is reliable.

Scott

Excellent :heavymetal:

Note: Also, I'm not sure if this has been posted yet, but the official page for the Episode 3 game is now UP. Looks awesome.

Good, good. All sounds rather cool. But then, anything that states that Jar Jar will be kept to a minimum is good in my book.

It's also encouraging to hear that McDiarmid's performance is a show stealer as has long been suspected.

However:

Quote:
the young captain is probably Tarkin - he looks very much like young Peter Cushing!

Young captain?!! If you've seen the BTH pic of Tarkin on the OS, you could probably get away with saying that the Tarkin in Ep III actually looks older than his Ep IV alter ego.

It would seem a bit ridiculous t not have Jar-Jar in the film AT ALL. We all dislike him, but for continuity's sake, he has to be in ROTS. With all the political scenes going on with Padmé, you'd expect her fellow Reprasentative Binks to at least be present in a non-vocal role. A sad looking Jar-Jar can even *gasp* ADD to a scene. If we see a character that spends all of his time laughing and joking, trying to hold back the tears, we know something seriously bad is going on.

I reckon there'll be people coming out of the woodwork all over the place now claiming to have seen the film whilst pushing their personal sheep wet-dreams forward.

This info was mentioned ages ago at MF.com by Spoileriffic.

In fact most of the comingsoon.net report seems to be what had already been posted at MF.com a while ago.

I'm not a fan of this "calling people out" shit, after all I ain't nobody. But then neither is this celelc (or whatever his name is) bloke. When something 'leaks' and touches on anything to do with the official material (in this case the trailer) that conviently came out a few days ago, it sounds like ghey people wanting some nerdy anal lovin. Smells like bullshit.

The almost-but-not-quite-OT-destroyer wouldn´t be a Victory-class Star Destroyer, would it? :)

Nah, definitely no Victory Class Destroyers in Sith. Lucas' take on it was they exist in a different part of the galaxy from where he's talking about.

The ones in ROTS are Venator Class.

Wow, Lucas actually mentioned Victory ships, specifically? :o

And yes, I already know the Venators are there, I´m merely wondering about this possibly new ship at the end.

Stop whining. There was a server glitch and a whole boatload of posts from the past two days are missing as a result.

ILM employees wouldn't take 10 weeks to finish a 30 second sequence.

Even if the Kashyyyk battle scenes are only a few minutes long, from what I have seen in the trailer and such it looks like it'll be pretty intense.
