Give him a break, guys. He just was saying it looked funky.
I know, it´s just after six years of nothing but bitching about CGI, while at the same time jerking off to conventional models like it´s the saviour of modern cinema (that some people like to do), it gets a bit tiring.
I don´t think anyone, audiences, animators, whoever, believes in "perfect, flawless effects". If anything, all the years of online debates have most likely made people more aware of the limitations of the different types of effects.
Of course this doesn´t excuse magical matching marks on trooper-armor or a less than photorealistic background, but at least consider focusing on the characters and the story, which can help elevate sub-par effects. I mean, noone wants to critizise effects in the OT, right? Because everything else weighs up for certain iffy scenes. Hopefully the same can be said for ROTS.
