So, is this the last time Ani and Padme meet before the choking or is their still the scene where he comes to explain himself before the slaughter on Mustafar?

If this is their last meeting before the choke, it makes Anakin's anger a bit more understandable and less impulsive - meaning it's more from a combination of not siding with him and leading Obi-Wan to him.

The way I thought it was shaking down was:

Ani goes to Padme to explain his side of the story, they argue but come to a mutual understanding and leave on relatively good terms. Obi-Wan shows up and Padme won't narc on Ani, even after he explains what he did at the temple. Obi-Wan stows on Padme's ship as she goes off to bring her husband back. Padme finds Anakin first, they argue about Palpatine a bit, but calm down - then Obi-Wan shows up and Anakin blows his fuse thinking he's been betrayed.

Wow, these reports keep getting better and better. How many more are there going to be before Tern will post about a new focus.

SO I stop to wonder what events have occured before this one.
By now is Ani offically vadar? And Palps transformed?

The rebellion makes its political move, they are rejected, then right after this meeting, Palps releaves his true self to Ani, then the Mace battle , and Ani turning. Then the creation of the Empire, and then the Temple Slaughter?

I can only asume the Temple slaughter will cut away just like the slaughter in Episode II, and we will see Yoda once again feeling the horor (possibly on the wookie planet) Which begins his quest to return to couresaunt.

But Obi right now is fighting grevious, and we have been told that Bail picks up Yoda, to bring him back to couresaunt (while I know it would kill the EU, would rock if CHewie left with Yoda and then went to Tat with Obiwan) So Bail must take off in a hury to retrieve Yoda once the empire is anounced.

Maybe the temple sluaghter will be followed by the D day invation, followed by the turn on the jedis. Though Im asuming the clones attacking jedis will most likely happen in parallel to the Temple Slaughter.

This followed by the greatest battles we have ever seen,
Followed by the Births.......
Wow, this is going to be one hell of a climax!!!!

Tern confirmed the obvious on TFN:

This scene takes place just a bit before Palpatine reveals to Anakin he is Sidious.

He hasn't turned yet.

Ahhh, interesting. I didn't realize Anakin was standing there during those shots of Padme looking unhappy. That explains her expression, and who exactly she's looking at. Man, after scenes like this, Anakin's gotta be a real idiot to think she's going to buy into his evil scheme.

Ok, Tern's response at TFN clarifies things a bit more. It's still like I said in the post above, plus this is well before the slaughter at the temple and even the Windu confrontation.

On the way home from work I realized that Anakin and Padme HAVE to talk before Mustafar... other wise the bitch wouldn't know where to find him.

"she will know because he will have R2 with him."

Has it been confirmed that Vader takes R2-D2 to Mustafar?

Order 66 is the Jedi extermination order right? Just like everyone else, I really can't wait to see this played out on the screen. Dramarama!

We know that Anakin discusses the need for "imortality" with both Yoda and Palpatine. I'm guessing he doesn't tip off Yoda as to "why" he's asking about it - i.e. his relationship with Padme. I also assuming he's a bit more open with Palpatine because he's got a bit more to say about the possibility of cheating death.

The thing is... that this new scene takes place BEFORE the opera, so does Anakin speak to Palpatine about his dream before the meeting in Tern's report? Perhaps, Palps suspects Anakin and Padme are an item and needs Anakin present while confronting Padme to confirm his suspicions by watching their reactions.

The more info we find out... the more we need to fill in the missing holes.

R2 is the astromech droid in Anakin's starfighter.

Plus, what's hers is his and what's his is hers. :P

If Amidala didn't waste her time with the likes of poxy Senator Binks, she'd have way more credibility with the Senate. She needs to get herself a Rancor Senator as a buddy.

Even though Anakin is clearly way over towards the Dark Side here, I still find it amazing that he'll stand by Palpatine's side as he gives this order. It's possible he didn't hear or was thinking of boobies or whatever but the implications of the order are so huge that I would have expected at least some resistance from Anakin - especially seeing as he is so willing to react normally. Unless...is there a scene where Palpatine and Anakin discuss this before? I suppose that would ruin the surprise of the Senate scene.

Dogg.

From memory, Anakin visits Padme directly after the Jedi Temple Massacre - scene 116.

* Anakin and Padme discuss politics on Veranda.

* Anakin goes to theatre.

* Padme presents Petition of Two Thousand.

* Palpatine reveals "Sidious" persona to Anakin.

* Mace leaves temple with Posse

* Mace and Sidious duel.

* Order 66 given.

* Anakin meets Padme and tells her of a new mission.

* Bail returns with Obi and Yoda.

* Empire delcared

* Anakin arrives on Mustafar and begins the Massacre.

* Yoda and Obi discover Anakin's allegience.

* Obi goes to Padme

* Yoda confronts Sidious.

* Obi boards Padme's ship

* Yoda escapes from Sidious.

* Padme and Anakin confront each other.

* Duel begins.

I take it this represents both the Temple Massacre and the turning of the clones on Kasshyk, Utapau, Mygeeto etc etc all at once?

Well if peoples' 'would you remember a toaster?' argument is correct Anakin shouldn't really care what astromech he takes with him. Seems to me that having R2 with him would seem less important than having him remain with Padme, story wise.

That applied to people being separated from their droids for long periods of time. You may like the "toaster" while it´s there, but after decades away from it, it´s not like you´d go "Oh, that thing looks just like the toaster I had when I was young!" :mrgreen: .

And this is just a couple of days after the crash, and if R2 (who helped several times aboard the cruiser) is readily available, I see no reason why he´d choose a different droid.

seems that the younlings deaths were not by anikans hand as mentioned in another thread... the younglings had blaster wounds, not jedi saber wounds.

All implied, though.. he helped, either way. I doubt any kids will die onscreen, whoever kills them.. we'll see Anakin going in, then dead younglings.
