Has anyone thought that as James Earl Jones hasn't done any voice recordings, that you may not hear Vader speak?
Just think about it befor ranting on at me, if you look at all the write-ups, previews etc, of what scenes Vader is in (the rising in the room, and looking out of the window of a Star Destroyer) say that max out to about 3-4 minutes tops. He desn't have to say anything, but just to lie there having breathing problems while listening to Palpatine babling his gob off.

Or the possibilty could be, as what we all saw in the trailer, just the utter of words like 'Yes, Master' or 'Yes, my Master' which would be lifted straight from the original trilogy to save money on a new voice take!

Could I be right?

no.

a) JEJ has probably done his recordings (evidenced in his toy recording)
b) there are new scripted Vader lines that are already confirmed
c) You've already heard a newly spoken vader line rather than one pulled from the OT (in the trailer)

Yeah, but no one can confirm if it is JEJ in that trailer, Doesn't really matter if it isn't, it's just a trailer, but it would be cool if it were confirmed officially.

I can confirm it............Sources say: Ask Again Later.

Just how cool is the Voice Changer? I want to say MF.COM is a PUSSY MAGNET. breathing....

Back on topic........

It doesnt really matter how many lines he does, JEJ confirmed he's doing EP3. Wasn't his lines one of the last things to be recorded before the soundtrack anyways?

They were doing recordings for actors a week or so ago, so yes.

Spoileriffic did say on these very boards that the line in the trailer is an altered Hayden line from another scene in the movie where he's not actually in the suit. With all that he's provided us in the past (and will hopefully show us in the months ahead), I believe him. The trailer voice wasn't JEJ. It also wasn't a line that suited Vader will say in the movie, which means that it's still possible/probable for JEJ to do the voice, which I am sure he will do just as I am sure that suited Vader will have lines. I don't think there's ever been any reason to think he won't speak. We've heard that he will. We've read what some of his lines will be. The Bonus DVD's footage of him looking around certainly lends itself to dialog. Basically, there's no reason to think vader won't speak and I find it puzzling that the thought would ever enter someone's mind.

What, like "I don't fear..."? That was confirmed as a Vader line, yes. But we now know that Anakin is Vader right after he kills Mace, LONG before the suit. It's very possible that the I don't fear line could come before the suit.

As for not hearing him talk in Episode III, it wouldn't bother me, honestly. It's not like I haven't heard him talk before. It might be neat not to hear him until he's torturing Captain Antilles in ANH. But I somehow think (hope?) that George isn't going to put Vader's voice in the trailer and not deliver in the movie. I know he doesn't care about fan opinions, but there could be major public outcry over that from non hardcore fans.

Do you really think they brought JEJ in to record a few lines of dialogue for a toy and not use him for the film?

Switch off I highly doubt that George Lucas needs to save money on voice takes. (As I laugh like the Emperor)

If they don't use him, they can easily duplicate the voice. But it would be strange if they got him to do the voice for an action figure, and not the movie.

I honestly don't think he confirmed that it was suited, but I could be wrong. You got an exact quote?
