Now there's a twist i didn't see coming:

"Anakin, i am your mother. Search your feelings, you know it to be true"

Whoa, so that's what Obi-Wan's lizard looks like. Cool.

I'm confused about the Obi-Wan/Padme page. Is that Obi-Wan getting on Padme's skiff? Or is that supposed to be Padme? Maybe the Obi-Wan-as-stowaway sequence was decided after the comic was underway.

I mean, how else would Obi Wan accomplish this without boarding the ship FIRST.

Well sure, but I was expecting a little more, y'know, stealth. :)

OMG...some of the pics are horrendous. I have seen better from fan art.

At least now we can see Obi sneaking aboard the ship...

Doug Wheatley can draw faces just fine -- it's likenesses that he has a problem with. It's a pretty common failing among comic artists. They'd rather draw from their heads than from life. I knew an up-and-coming comic artist a few years back who boasted that he impressed everyone in his figure drawing class by drawing the figure "better" than the actual person looked. He didn't really get that the idea was to capture the gesture, not to make a pretty drawing.

Looks like the whole Seperatist leadership is on Utapau, judging from the page with Gervious exiting the shuttle.
Did we know that before and I missed it or is that new?

Where'd the Padme one come from? Wonder if they actually got Natalie to cry. So far her range in SW movies has not been that great.

LOL. Just watched the trailer to see the matching shot of her and Obi's convo. Her acting looks adequate in it, which is how I would describe Natalie's performances thus far in Star Wars, but I'm hoping that as we see in the comic, she begins to cry after Obi leaves. Much more powerful that way.

Natalie has it in her to be a good actor. Apparently for Star Wars she doesnt put much heart or thought into it save for on a superficial level, hopefully that will change.

It was revealed a few months ago on Reversal of Fortune, the Hyperspace webstrip.

The scene in the preview page is most likely Sidious ordering them to get their asses to Mustafar.

Yeah, the artwork itself looks great, but this guy made Padmé look like an old hag - awful!!

I've always liked Hugh Flemings artwork
I can't understand why they don't give him more work?

GOOD GOD! and this man gets paid $$$$'s to do those pics? the sketch artists at the beach do a better job (though anakin would be seen on a skateboard or building sandcastles!) im not very "up" on the latest comics etc. but i have never seen anything in the past that looked that bad, i know it all has to be stylized etc but give me the 70's adaptation art over this anyday! shame they couldnt have got alex ross to to the job :( dont mean to offend anyone but it does look pretty shoddy to me especially if he was working from the photos we have/havent seen, and i will stick my neck out and say if i had the time and the money* i probably could have done better

*the money would be a big incentive :)
as for this pic-

Image
she forces out a fart on the first panel
the 3rd panel she is releived it is out of her system
and on the 4th panel either obi wan cut one on the way out or she just caught a whiff of her own

Looks as close to Natalie Portman as I would expect for a comic book.
