the needle is not off the rikter meter for this strange story but anyways... many years back when i was working in a jewellery shop this extremely (about 7 months) pregnant lady walks in pleading me to help her with a problem... to my suprise her problem was a belly button ring that somehow got stuck due to her expanded tummy which, she wanted removed... i was not in the least bit prepared to remove her belly button ring but after many moments of please, please, ill be your best friend i tried...

the first attempt was using plier type tools used to snip pieces of wire, mind you im talking about malleable wire and not stainless steel or whatever the heck belly button rings are made from... the tension caused by my grasping of the pliers on the frustrated ladies belly button ring drew blood... shocked and with a gasp i moved away and spent a little longer having a think about this bizarre dilemma...

i realised any attempts to remove the belly button ring would have to be a great deal more ellaborate than a simple pair of pliers and with that revelation i whisked the lady to the front of the work area to a watch repair station vice... got her sitting on a chair using her knees with her tummy facing the vice at a convenient level... with a word of warning to keep still i tightened the vice across the belly button ring, stepped back in amusement at the scene of a extremely pregnant lady fixed to a vice at her tummy and proceeded to saw through the ring with a jeweller saw blade... the belly button ring was removed... strange but true...

and this one time at band camp... well whats your strange story... must be true :monocle:

Wow.
That exact same thing happened to me once. Except that I was 30, and the little girl's name was Shirley.
