I doubt it would be that bad, maybe at TFN but not here, it never gets that bad here. Sure tons of dicussion pop up but only across a few threads, I dont think it would be real bad.

The reason this site seems to only be giving bits and pieces is because it keeps people coming back. If they just gave away the entire movie at once, there wouldn't be anything to keep us waiting between now and May, and thus there would be no need for us to come back and visit the site as much.

Not that I mind. Seeing spoilers in small doses like this also gives me something to look forward to, whereas knowing everything at once would leave me very bored until May.

Ahhh so you prescribe to the ignorance is bliss thing do ya? Well not all of us do.

I can infer a few things from the quote:

- The Sith seek power without knowledge. That's clearly the path to the Dark Side. If Palpatine promises that with power will come understanding, Anakin has a reason to proceed into evil without fully thinking it through.

- As the Sith gain power, they gain understanding. Ultimate power leads to ultimate understanding. That's an enticement for the Jedi-side of Anakin - the promise of becoming enlightened.

- As the Jedi lose understanding, they lose power. We've seen that already.

I don't know what any of that has to do with defeating death and/or creating life. Judging from the story snippet, apparently Sidious learned the secret and then murdered Plagueis. So Sidious is really old, or something.

Chances are the Sith created him, and thought they could control him, and so did the Jedi, and really the Force itself used the Sith as pawns to create him, and fullfilled its own destiny with him.

No matter how hard they try both sides cant contend with the will of the force, i think thats what Yoda learns during ESB and ROTJ and thats why he and Obi train luke because he is the last hope, not there last hope, but the Forces, and the force is talking to Yoda through dead Obi.

Look we don't have the book, script, or video of the movie. We do however have access to two out of the three.

Ternian is posting excerpts daily for the time being because he is only getting excerpts and even then they are a day or so prior to the actual posting of them. T then has rewrite the Hard Copy reports in a way so as to hide the paper trail.

Futhermore, I am getting most of T's Hard Copy reports when everyone else does. Yes, there are times when I get some reports before you though, even then it is only a few hours before the actual report is posted.

MF isn't doing the whole weekly TheForce.net Darth Friday shit or TBone's "Darth Thursday" Spoiler Season scheme where he got AL to trade Fatboy Roberts spoilers to TheForce.nets Darth Friday to post on Thursday in an effort to fullfill his lifes goal of getting back at TFN.

The only thing we are doing weekly is Spoileriffic. Spoileriffic isn't Hard Copy but is backing up Hard Copy %100. I'm dealing with Spoileriffic and T is dealing with Hard Copy so I can say it's going to be a Spoileriffic Christmas Eve

I had this crazy notion: what if Darth Plagueis, Sidious' master, was in fact a former Jedi named Sifo-Dyas?

Could be that Sifo-Dyas turned to the dark side yet still remained within the Jedi order just as Palpatine hides the fact that he's a Sith master. That would explain how he was murdered by Palpatine, just as Obi-Wan explained that Sifo was killed.

Has this been posted before? Probably. What if Plagueis is the first midichlorien conceived dude, and thats how he found out about longevity because he had the connection to the force. Passed it on to Sids and Sids offed him. But before he was offed he fortold of another midichlorien conceived dude. [billandtedreference]And some royal ugly dudes[/billandtedreference]

Of course if you understood what midichlorians are, then you would realize they don't take anything away from the mysticism of the Force.

And what do the films lose by adding them? If you're perception of the Force is shattered by the reality that there's a scientific connection, it's your own fault. The Original Trilogy basically said strength in the Force is genetic anyway.

I really like the quote about QuiGon being a "radical." It makes the infrastructure of the whole Jedi world more political and interesting. Maybe more relevant to our own world. As for throwing in my worthless two cents in about midichlorians...I kind of dig the idea and always have. It shows that the force isn't some "mystical energy field controlling my destiny," but has more to do with science or biology or...something. Are Jedi's genetically superior humans/aliens? Maybe....sounds creepy I suppose.

While plot is an important aspect of the Star Wars saga, what makes it truly great are the motifs intwined through it. One thing TPM definately did right was set up the theme of symbiants. Once reinforced in RotS the whole idea of "life forms living together for mutual advantage", or rather the way of the Sith which is opposite, the metaphor should work rather nicely.

It's not the slow leak that I have a problem with. It's the, as Fatboy put it, "Griffin-Lite" attitude.

If MF gets the reports sent in daily and have no knowledge of them and no control over them ahead of time, as darthy has implied, then they are certainly NOT in a position to blow the whole movie wide open, and should not act as if they are.

We love spoilers. That's why we're here. It's great that we're finally getting some and we appreciate that the "paper trail" has to be covered up. But I think we should all be WAAY past the elitest attitudes. It's not 2001 anymore. It's nearly 2005 and we've got less than 5 months to enjoy this. So let's enjoy it.

There is a particular reason I have done the reports this way and hopefully it makes sense tonight.

And I think it is one of the first times that spoilers are getting out as quick as we get them...

I don't intend to give everything away, but just enough for people to understand and be excited about EpIII.

This sounds awesome. I think this sith explaination is gonna work really well in the context of whats going on.

Just to kind of discuss some things that won't be in The Reveal. They are kinda things you should know already, but I just want to put it in perspective.

Midichlorians are simply the symbiont that coveys the will of the Force to those who are Force-sensitive. ie. Jedi/Sith.

The Jedi listen to the Force. They let it flow through them: that is, they listen to the Force through the Midichlorians and thus that is how a Jedi gains his/her power through understanding.

The Sith, on the other hand, command the Midichlorians. They overpower them and thus the SITH tell the MIDIS what to do. Thus, through power, a Sith gains their understanding.

This is already kinda explained in the movies. You'd have to watch TPM in order to understand it.

I don't see any difference to what Qui-Gon says in TPM, DV.

That's some fascinating stuff Tern. The Sith control the midi-chlorians........

The Sith and the Jedi just focus on two different areas, it would seem.

One Word: WOW. This has been the best week of spoilers since AOTC imho. Thanks for the present Tern.

Now we see the purpose of mentioning midichlorians in TPM. Something along the lines of: " Anakin, command the force(midi) to stop Padme's death, since you are their creation, you are their master."


The reveal is gonna kick ass. Now I am convinced this movie is going to just OWN.

So Tern, are you going to coninue releasing spoilers to us on a daily basis like this until the whole movie is completely spoiled for us? Or is Christmas the end of them?

Wow, this is just amazing. Ternian, you are God! Everything is coming full circle, everything is coming together. Anakin's seduction, Palpatine's manipulation, it is done so carefuly and so subtlely.

Now we need your update for "The Reveal".

While I greatly appreciate Ternian's spoiler reports, let's cut back on the hyperbole.
