the title of this act is "Universal National Service Act of 2003'" drafted on January 7, 2003. It basically outlines a proposel for a mandatory two year militar or civil defense service for any American citizen between 18 and 26, women included. Read it for yourselves and draw your own conclusions.

It seems unlikely that a draft bill introduced by a retiring Democratic senator is going to go anywhere.

There's a major congressional election in two years. You won't see a draft before then, if at all.

Why not go with the alternative motion? Volunteer for the army and get to kill some rich white boy of your choice.
