My work accumulating Nintendo DS information

How is it more appealing?
- $350 USD, hole in your wallet
- 2 Hour Battery Life, no road trips for the PSP, unless you want a flat car battery
- It's bigger than DS, busts pockets
- Screen will get scratched as fuck, such a shame because it's a nice screen
- It gots incredibly hot in just 15mins
- Old hat games, just get a proper console instead for cheaper
- Who the fuck is going to buy movies on UMD?
DS on the other hand (along with Nintendo Revolution in 2006/7) will be dragging the games industry into the 21st Century.

The graphics ARE better on PSP, but the DS games look great on the actual unit in motion.

Metal Gear Acid is NOT a traditional MGS title, its a CARD GAME, apart from GT on PSP, it has a very shitty lineup.

You mentioned storage capabilities, if 512 Megabits was enough for the GBA/N64 (I don't think any GBA games used the 512 Megabit cart size), 1 Gigabit will be fine for the DS.

FF: Advent Children is also coming out on DVD, I'd much rather get that, except I don't care for Squaresoft.
Speaking of which, they're releasing MUCH more stuff on DS than PSP!

- DS Cards have 1 Gigabit (1024 Megabits | 128 Megabytes) capacity
I think it's safe to assume that there'll be a Zelda DS down the track.

Can you play GBA multiplayer games on the DS? I believe it doesn't have a port for the GBA cable, but can GBA multiplayer games work via the wireless network?

I realize it cant play GBC games altogether, which is fine. The reason I ask this is because I'm debating whether or not to sell my SP to garner funds for the DS...

The graphics are the 64 era-esque, but nonetheless a portable 3D Madden game is too good to pass up. It looks like EA is taking advantage of the "gimmicks" by calling plays and audibles via the touch screen.

Awesome. I think I'll get the DS with Madden, maybe Metroid or MK.

I'm really excited about the DS. Seems like I'd use all the features. Plus, it would save room in my bag b/c I carry my GBA, and my Palm at all times.

My palm is so old now, it needs replacing.

It was my understanding that Nintendo plans to make the bottom screen work like a PDA.

It has a stylus, but no palm software that I know of.

3rd parties will create applications like web browser and stuff.

Somehow I doubt we're going to see web browsers on a nintendo system. I'm still keeping fingers crossed that the company will actually get some games online

I wouldn't outrule third-party either, of course. Whether it will be worth a damn is another thing entirely.
