Does anyone remember when the teaser for TPM and AOTC came out? Wasn't they around the same time of the year? Like Oct or Nov? I am asking cause if so I guess the ROTS teaser would be out around the same time.

Is there any word about the Teaser? I use to trust TF.N but they don't post rumors/spy reports like they use to. Now that want to wait for the official word. Like the changes on the DVD. We all see pictures here but they didn't report it until months later. Anyway, I am getting off topic.

What's a good site for SW news other than TF.N?

The teaser trailer for the last two has always been roughly mid-November, from memory.

just a hypothesis but...

could it be possible that LFL is planning a release of a teaser to accompany the release of the OT dvds and SW Battlefront? It would be a trifecta and all would be right with the world.

I dont see why he wouldn't put one on the DVD. All we get is that behind the scene thing. Maybe if you use the DVD Rom you can access a special DVD page at starwars.com for it later.
But if you added the teaser it could only HELP sell it, cant see how it could hurt sell it.

"Star Wars on DVD, with a 4th bouns disc plus see the trailer to next Star Wars movie, Revenge of the Sith!"

Because they're probably not ready to release the trailer yet...

Right. The DVD's were likely packaged by early summer in order for a September release and that may mean that there was not enough time to put together a decent trailer teser for the DVD set.

Admittedly, it would have been great to see a teaser trailer on RotSith on the OT DVD's....

Early November for the teasers

Mid March for the theatrical trailer.

Because the title was revealed sooner than usual, I held out a naive hope that there would be a trailer accompanying THX1138 last week. No dice, unfortunately. It would have mitigated the crushing, coma-inducing boredom I suffered through watching that plotless excuse for an "experimental" film.

But that's another topic, I guess.

I notice on the DVD of the PT movies, the teaser trailers are called Lunch Trailers. Now I never seen any other DVD call it Lunch Trailer
What the fuck is a Lunch Trailer? You get to Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwhich as you watch it or something?

Also I guess Fox likes to have Lucas attach the teaser to a film. Remember when TPM came out, people paid to see the movie it was attached to over and over again. It ran before and after the movie. My friend and I drove up to Atlanta to see it. Watched it about 6 times that day.

Well we had four with AOTC.

The two teasers in November 2001, the Forbidden Love one in January 02, and Clone War one in April 02.

I'm hoping we will get similar this time... with a DVD link using the 4th bonus disc. Because, if you remember.... Phantom Menace came out on DVD the september before the teaser - and that had a DVD link to the AOTC trailer. :)

Forbidden Love came out in November with Breathing and Mystery. Back to back to back weeks.

And Clone War came out in March.

A good bet. ;) I'd say the night before, Thursday night, 6:00 or 7:00PM PST.

Non-Hyperspace members will get a smaller (low-res/perhaps med-res) version. Then another teaser a week or two later accessed through the OT-DVD disc at dvd.starwars.com. I figure it will be the same way we got the "Mystery" trailer for AOTC by using the TPM-DVD disc.

Hopefully, we'll get a third teaser like AOTC ("Forbidden Love"), but maybe not. Then the final theatrical trailer in March 05.

I'm hoping for four, but I can certainly live with three. :)

TPM trailer was attached to A Bugs Life, not Toy Story 2. Toy Story 2 came out almost a year after TPM.

TPM teaser trailer was also attached to the classic coming of age story The Waterboy.

Post Posted: September 19th 2004 1:42 pm

The TPM was attacked, the start and the end of The Waterboy and Meet Joe Black. It was listed on StarWars.com as the two movies to see and it was only attached to them in some markets. The trailer was the put with other movies but not attached. It was up the thather owner who got it.
The two official movies were
Meet Joe Black and The Waterboy

ATOC -
Breathing - Monster's, Inc. (Nov 2, 2001) {link} -- Hit the website the following monday around 10AM EST.
Mystery - dvd.starwars.com (Nov 9, 2001)
Forbidden Love - Harry Potter 1 (Nov 16, 2001) {link} -- IIRC, it was on the official site very early that morning. It was there by the time I got to work..I think they put it up at midnight, so you didn't have to go to the theater to see that one first.

So, ROTS teaser willl proboably be with The Incredibles on Nov 5.

You forgot the "Choices" Trailer that was released around 10/15/01 (via TPM DVD website).

BTW: Does anyone know where I can download a copy of the "Choices" trailer?

Can't you still get it on the TPM DVD website?

If not, you're not missing much. It was just an extremely short slideshow with OT music showing a few pictures.

I’ve been told that “Choices” is no longer on the DVD site. Plus, I don’t have a DVD drive in my computer.

Maybe Lucasfilm will release a similar trailer for ROTS. “Choices” provided the first decent pic of Jango Fett. The Episode 3 “Choices” trailer could reveal a finalized shot of Grievous.
