but on a related note, Klownicle, you posted the bot stats up there with MaST3rS doing a PAL DVDR.....however going on some fairly reputable sites, i can't find another mention of this...NOR the ROTJ one that they did (which i have already)....is this Lucasfilm bringing down the red hammer on this?

also, is irc.nsane.net up for anyone else, or is it down completely

I will say and say it again, the dvd is real, it is on irc, and ive got them both. If you choose not to belive me thats your choice, you will just end up waiting till sept 21st to see the menus and shit.

The DVDR probably doesn't even have commentary. Groups like to rip that shit out, and on a release like this (nerd fanbase) it's pretty fucking stupid.

Commentary and extras are ripped becuase if you want those in a movie you should buy the damn dvd. Stop complaining, if it wasn't for these groups youd never see any of the shit youve seen.

I saw someone wanted these earlier:

And yes, you can still see through it at somepoints while its in motion, but its really hard to see it in these caps(you can see a shadow in the second pic that the AT-AT's leg is making though).

If anyone wants any more, I'd be more than happy to oblige them.

The problem is there, but hard to see. It's very minor.

Image 1. The shadow shows through a bit
Image 2. Ouch

In the top picture if you follow the shadow which is on the left side you should see it slightly throw the ship.

When I view it on my monitor, there are three shadow lines that are visible through the cockpit frame. It is not noticeable when watching the movie.

Turned up the brightness a bit.
And obviously you can see the laser shot in the pic above.

Does it look like they've touched it up again? because I would have thought they could totally remove the shadow and laser shot, which btw never bothered me to begin with..My question is why not totally fix it instead of kind of fix it?

Well, if anyone is frustrated because the DVD-R is messed up, have no fear. You can download the patch & patcher util at :

http://www.cloud1.co.uk/

EDIT: I will not answer questions on how to find any of these discs. Please do not ask.

Like I said, its extremely hard to see in caps and easier(but still pretty hard) in motion, its nothing that is going to take you out of the movie(I'm not nitpicking, just posting caps for a previous poster).

So this DVD-R of ESB has no commentary track. Cool. Someone asked me about it and I thought I had missed downloading a file.

I just checked out the Taun Taun shots, I personally don't see a difference. I remember reading that it was smoothed out, so I checked it out. Hmm. I can't really do side by side though. It looks the same to me.

I have to admit that I am so pleased with the look of this disk that a lot of old stuff looks new and sometimes because of that it's hard to tell. Maybe I am being too hard on what is new and what isn't.

After I reinstall Power DVD on my Computer, I will check it out there. On my TV, I see them as being the same. Perhaps on a computer it will be more obvious.

The accent bugs me..I can't figure out why Lucas made Jango and the clones New Zealanders in the first place. :what:

OMG,

Fett sounds HORRIBLE now.

What a joke. It sounds like a really bad voice over and the old voice was SO much better (and cooler).

Did anyone mirror the Emperor MPEG? I got the Fett one in time, but not the Emperor one.

And Fett sounds fucking horrendous now. The only two lines that sound OK are "he's no good to me dead" and "put capt. solo in the cargo hold" -- but those are still shit....

The rip is region 2 which uses PAL, not NTSC like region 1. That's why the sound is slightly higher pitch.

Oh yeah, look at the first page of the topic - there's a screenshot of it there.

Yeah I'm sure you can do better :whateva:

I have the actual rip and it looks great. I am a graphic designer as well and it looks fine to me.
