mcdermd is Dr G? wow, amazing.

i have been downloading those laser disc rips on a torrent sight for two days now, after you said that, i checked and noted that the poster said a dr. g ripped these ages ago.

If you are one in the same, i give you serious props, these copies are gorgeous, i love um... are there any deleted scenes on the supplemental disc LD rip?

How long ago did dr. G do these O-OT Laser disc rips? I am throughly impressed.

I haven't finished DLing the LD transfers yet, but I did this myself about 2 years ago. Mine came out nice, but from what I've seen, these are better.

For those wondering what the Theed insert looks like I snipped a clip for those without a copy:

http://www.wallhacker.com/NotForFuckingTFN/theed.avi

As you can see from the file name I'd prefer my bandwidth be used on either this site or SA.

edit: Sup

Much appreciated.

And Dracon, no, I mean an honest to God Revenge of the Sith teaser on the supplemental disc, just like it says on the MF.com main page. It is there, and will be there on the 21st.

I have to know, is the two little rods underneath the sandsciff removed, in the sailbarge shot right before the sailbarge explodes?

Seriously? If there is a teaser on the disk, it probably wouldn't have any finished footage. Everything on the DVDs would have been completed months ago, right?

The sand skiff is on the lower left hand side of the screne, and there are two metal rods in the sand holding it up.

Mabye thats what Lando really looks like because of the fuzzyness of the old films makes him look different. ;) Really though, look at Luke, you can even tell from behind that he is a stunt double. I bet the others are too.

Thanks Jason

I know some of you were wondering what the lightsabers looked like.

At some angles they look fine... at others... well I'll let you judge for yourself.

Unfortunately this will only incite the naysayers claiming this release is fake. Oh well.

Damn, thanks again man. Holy shit, now that I've seen those clips I'm convinced that these HAVE TO BE works in progress. No way in hell would LFL release something done so half-assedly. They can't even decide on Vaders saber color, for christ sakes. It changes three times in those two clips. If they actually release something so shoddy I'll start up the campaign to get them to fix the effects and replace the ROTJ disc from the sets in a mail-in exchange. That's just shoddy.

Yes, I am starting to believe that these are still works in progress. Anyone watching that shot would notice the imperfections, and not allow that to remain in the film. And there are small imperfection in the other parts of the film. I think that this RIP is more of an anamatic. Its got the film, the and physical changes, now they will go in and fix the physical imperfections, effects and so on...

Also - on that Hayden scene, check out OB1's arm as he reaches over to yoda and places it on his shoulder - did he do that before? Check it out as his arm looks like it's been dogilly added in again, and jumps a bit...

Watch it...it's like....crazy.

Looks like a completely different movement to the rest of his body....

CraigL at HTF says he's downloading the DVD-R version at the moment. Anyone see it anywhere on IRC?

theres a huge skip of the hayden section of that clip, what the hell?

If that's the clip I think it is, he edited a section out of the movie for comparison purposes. His body and the background shrink a bit.

Because it cuts back to Luke laughing after we first see Anakin appear. Then it goes back to show our Prequel Heroes...

Nope...and i can't get the bit-torrent version going...so I'll just wait for a bit, I'm sure it'll show as a divX format soon enough

.....and I think the "Skip" is not actually part of the "final" film there cheif, just so it matches the same with to give you an indication of the two comparison shots together without the luke scene cut in.

EDIT:

Basically what everyone said above me

In the original there is no pause between the ghosts. In the new version the scene where Luke is leaning on a tree and Leia comes over is split in between. The creator of the video file edited out this shot.

fuck beaten

They are the exact frame for frame part, I don't have the patience for that. :) I'm having to play the actual .VOB files from my ROTJ original version to get them to play because my burned version is at my neighbors house. I can't get a light shot from the original version. Sorry man.

Yeah, I edited out the part of luke and leia right there. in the original LD footage though, it doesn't cut right there.

Hello everyone,

I'm a new member here at Millenium Falcon and I'd just like to say that I totally appreciate what you guys are doing here, allowing us, fellow members of the community, a chance at the opportunity to see what we possibly wouldn't have until the release on September. While as a film major and aspiring filmmaker, I wouldn't wholeheartedly agree with the pirating of the DVD, I'll still be buying this set when it comes out.

Keep up the good work, and let's get those other two films up!

There is no empire strikes back rip online, it hasn't been leaked into the 'scene', no xvid no svcd and no dvdr, the only offical leak is the return of the jedi dvd, which has been leaked as dvdr, xvid and svcd. The a new hope release was a hdtv source of the speacial edition, it is not from the retial dvd. I have the return of the jedi dvdr, as I have posted the menu caps. The dvdr will be posted in that #nsane-warez channel by tonight most likly. Dr Gonzo gets first dibs :-p

No I don't belive so, since dvd+9 isn't out in full yet, you can expect dvd+5 to be used for scene releases for awhile. I wouldn't expect to see the commentary on a scene release. When I do select commentary, I get normal audio, but as would the real dvds, at the top of the screen while viewing it says things like "George Lucas" and other people, Lucas came up during the rancor shot with luke :)

cool! i just didnt see it mentioned in the nfo, if the divx was taken from this and the actual dvd-r is downsampled video then the retail will be a sight to behold i watched the divx on the projector last night with dolbyEX and it even makes the SE laserdiscs sound like crap!(and they until yesterday were reference quality!)

Lucas did the Indiana Boxset, the indiana boxset pred in the 'scene' 11 days before oct 21st. The september 21st date of the retail star wars is simliar so I expect around the 11th of september at least.

(this only relates to the retail dvd-rs not the early scene ones)
the indy dvd-rs took so long cause they were from paramount, the retails from paramount dont slip out way early very often well not until a few weeks pre release but fox is different matter, they ship out there retails to the wholesalers as soon as they get them, i know for a fact that one of my suppliers (a large usa wholesaler) has had all of his copies of "man on fire"(not released till september 14th!) for over a week now just sitting in his warehouse but is not obliged to send them till 1 or 2 weeks b4 the release date if he does fox will stop sending him stuff pre release date!, with this in mind the retail box sets "could" be in the warehouses by the end of next week, though it is true to say not all fox releases are sent early but we got our retail aotc's 2 weeks pre street date (as im in the uk they send us the discs when they get them and we dont stick to the street dates ;) ) but this is how the retail rips get out, people at the pressing plants, warehouses etc, remember how early the aotc 5.1 rip appeared!
its exciting times!!!! :heavymetal:
