Boba isn't needed in Episode III. If Palpatine does declare "marshall law" or something of that nature on the Jedi, then its POSSIBLE we could see him in that jedi purge montage. But I highly doubt it, and only bring it up because GL hinted that those braids that Fett wears over his shoulder are from Jedi padawans.

Mace goes to see Palps for one of two reasons (that I can think of). 1) He somehow finds out who Palpatine is and goes to take him out. Or 2) He wishes to confront Palps because he has said that he doesn't plan to return his emergency power even though the main crisis is now over.

Either way, it happens before the clones turn on the Jedi. It has to. What reason does Palpatine have to turn the clones before then? None. But after then, the Jedi have tried to assassinate the Supreme Chancellor. They can no longer be trusted.

I have the feeling whatever Obi-Wan hears from the Grievous/Sidious convo will make Mace ponder a connection between Palpatine and the Sith Lord, but he won't be 100% certain when he enters that office.

I'll grant you that Ewan was a steal money-wise. But....uh...I wouldn't be surprised if Natalie's price has stayed the same or dropped.

Pablo said that "Scholastic will end the Boba Fett series with book six, Pursuit. It's mostly how Boba Fett ends up where he is in Episode IV."

Makes it seem kind of weird that he would be in Episode III. McCallum did say we learn more about The Fett's in Episode III....

If anyone talked to him please let us know what he said. Even if he just laughed at you. :)

McCallum still says Boba is gonna be in ROTS? Interesting... at least he appears to have stepped down from the movie showing Boba's hatred of the Skywalker family.

McCallum's answer can even mean Morrison's voice in Empire. The fan didn't say Episode III, and McCallum talked about a connection.

The same McCallum who said that we'll get an AotC Directors Cut together with all the deleted scenes on DVD?

Oh yeah.

I chatted with Daniel at CC...and found out a couple of things.

Firstly, he's not able to sign those photos of himself in the Fett costume anymore. Secondly, he couldn't say whether he would be in Episode 3.

It'd be a lousy death, which is perfect, as Boba has a lousy death too. Seeing how big Lucas is on foreshadowing and mirroring, it could work on that level.

King of the lousy deaths is still Coleman Trebor, though.

Fan #18: This is for Rick McCallum. I wanted to know if you’re going to go into the backstory of the Fett family anymore?

RC: Yes. Yes we do, not to a large degree, but you will see a connection. That was obtuse wasn’t it?

Translation: Daniel Logan will be seen for less than 2 seconds mingling among extras in a background scene.

Never lose hope I guess.

After a long search in the SWU archives I found this entry. Dated back to the 15th May 2002 McCallum stated it in an Empire Online interview.

Here's the link to the SWU news (german): http://www.starwars-union.de/index.php?id=shownews&rubrik=episode2&newsid=3412

It took me even longer to find this workable link to the Empire Online exclusive:
http://www.empireonline.co.uk/site/news/newsstory.asp?news_id=12789

Quote:
As for the slightly more imminent Attack of The Clones DVD, McCallum confirmed that he’s currently persuading Lucas to provide a commentary track. But can we expect much of the four hours of footage that comprised the uncut film to crop up as a special Director’s Cut? "Oh you’re definitely going to get it all," assured McCallum. "With George… he’ll keep on changing the film till the day he dies."

I gotta confess that we, at least to a certain degree, got what he said but still he majorly exaggerated.
Damn, I feel like Michael Moore! :)

Some ponderables on Qui Gon/Neeson in episode 3.
I noted a few interesting comments on whether or not Liam was going to be casted. We all know Liam said he wasn't going to do another star wars movie, and the quote in episode 2 has been said to have been recorded in Ep 1.

I'd like to bring up some very interesting facts about the movies and Lucas in general.

Lucas is a planner. He doesn't plan whole movies, but he likes to do things ahead of time, and he likes to get things done with. He knows the general plot of things, but the twists fall into place. Notice that he cut the Han having a girlfriend in Episode 4, and he ended up with Leia. He left that open.

What am I getting at? Lucas always contracts people for all the movies. Liam Neeson is a great actor, and if he says something people are going to listen.

I think that he either recorded scenes already in Episode 1's filming, or he is actually going to be in Episode 3 as a ghost, or a notable voice.
There are so many parellel oppertunities that Lucas is so known for doing. Note Obi Wan in ROTJ, He appeared to Luke, "I thought I could train Anakin... I was wrong." Imagine Qui Gon admitting he was wrong.

Also note that in AOTC before Obi enters the Younglings Training room there is a statue, with a man who is holding an object, holding it just the same way as Anakin with the fruit. That statue looks just like Qui Gon! Anakin seems to have Qui Gons rebellious attitude, even to the note of "Obi Wan would be very grumpy if he saw me doing this."

The Voice with Yoda, which we all know about.

Finally an interesting plot connection that lays a huge chain of events. Note that Count Dooku wished for Qui Gons help. Think about Master Syfo-dyas, who is he? People are always guessing, but Obi said he died almost 10 years ago, without hesitation. I theorize that Syfo-Dyas is none other than Qui-Gon. Note the way Obi spoke of him, "...I was under the impression he died before then..." He says. Why wouldnt he say something with less of a personal touch. Obi seemed to know Syfo-Dias well.

There is too many small connections that imply that Liam outright lied that he wasn't contracted for ep 3, or that there were some underlying things going on to throw people off.

I know it seems like a long shot, but I think that there's more to Episode 3 and Neeson than people think.

What's this have to do with Boba?

You should read up on some AOTC deleted scenes then. ;)

The original cut was 4 hours long as stated in the making of book but it wouldn't surprise me if that was actually the assembly cut which includes everything that was filmed and is not a proper rough cut which is a more structured draft of the film. I doubt a lot of the unused material will ever see the light of day at least not in video form. There's still the rerelease though.

Ok, enough of that, back on topic to Boba.

Or they could pull a ROTK: Extended Edition and release a box set with a longer cut for each movie that could clock at 4 hours each.

I remember reading something about Lucas wanting ANH to clock at THREE hours but the MPAA and the DGA (Directors Guild of America) told him to cut it down to two hours or see his movie never be released threatrically.

So if Lucas wants a longer cut for every one of the SW movie, He has the DVD medium to release a EE for each movie on.

(Sorry but couldn't help replying to Thunder's comments.)

No Bounty Hunter school, here's the quote:

George Lucas wrote:
"Boba WILL be in Episode III, but his role definitely won't be larger. He's in a transition period of becoming a bounty hunter. The next film takes place two or three years later, so Boba would only be 13 and still wouldn't fit in the suit."

If that picture is real (which I doubt), then the costume got AWFULLY beat up in just 3 years - and not at all beat up in the next 19.

Until I hear differently from the flanneled one himself, I'm going with what he said before. Boba is only 13 and wouldn't fit in the suit.

It is legit. As stated above, it came from the DragonCon event a few months ago and another user stated further up that Logan is actually not allowed to sign any of the pics or speculate about his involvement in Ep3. That alone is odd to me but the fact that he also has promo shots done in full costume means he's promoting something SW related, even if nobody knows what just yet.

Surely Sidious would know Boba is burning for some sweet revenge against the Jedi, it'd be uncharacteristic of Sidious not to use it to his advantage IMO. I figure Boba Fett could fit nicely into any scenes where Anakin leads the clonetroopers into the Jedi Temple. Maybe Boba disintegrates a few Jedi, I'm sure disintegration would work quite well against a lightsaber. ;)

That is a fanmade costume. The pictures were taken at DragonCon for fun basically. It's nothing official.

Ahhhhh, promo shots in a fan costume.
So the costume makers just hooked up with Daniel Logan and asked him to wear the suit for a few shots at DragonCon?
And LFL had no problem with it?
If he can't talk about his SW involvement (under contract?), surely LFL would had to of approved those shots?

:?

Yeah i know its a bit weird...but the previous pics were also in a fanmade costume (the same one i believe). Daniel is very friendly with us Fett costumers. He sees us a lot and he knows many of us by name. I was not at DragonCon but yeah basically they went away from prying eyes and had Daniel put on the suit for some photos. Its very confusing that LFL isn't sending out goons to stop it from happening. They have been extremely strict about letting Jeremy Bulloch appear in the Fett costume outside of the films.

The reason that he has a Maple leaf on his shoulder is because that is sheep's twins Boba Fett armor. Daniel has a walk-on/cameo. Who knows what he does though. :whateva:

Yep, you're right. He goes by the name Jango_Fett_Jr on the dented helmet and BobaFett_YJN on TFN.

I think that pic Duke posted is cool. Doesn't matter if he's in the movie or not. Actually I'd like to see Temuera wearing the OT Boba costume.

THat would be the shit!, :heavymetal:
