So, Forbes and Slashfilm have the very first promo images and interviews with Ray Park and Sam Witwer about the big cameo of Darth Maul in Solo: A Star Wars Story.

Seeing these badass images of Maul’s return to live action makes me sad that we may take a long ways off to see another Star Wars Story film, especially a Maul-centric one, because of Solo’s financial performance. I just hope Solo’s Blu-Ray/DVD/Ancillary Media sales help it recoup it’s losses and break even to get Disney to think about making another Star Wars Story movie cuz I feel an Obi-Wan movie with Ewan McGregor and/or a Darth Maul Movie would untie SW fandom like the announcement of The Clone Wars’ return for Disney’s upcoming streaming service did.

Maul is the most criminally wasted character in this entire series.

In terms of the live-action films - yes. In terms of animation - no.

Disney must see him as an important property if he's in the marketing for Solo's home release. Maybe the buzz from his cameo will lead to further screen time?

I would hope. He’s already certain to return for the upcoming final episodes of The Clone Wars since he’s the villain of the Siege of Mandalore arc. Now, whether we’ll see him in live-action, that will be up to whatever happens in the future.

I like Filoni, but having Maul survive being cut in half in TPM was stupid.

I don't mind him having a brother looking for revenge against Kenobi, but that is as far as it should've gone.

No point in having him in Solo. If they wanted to have a scene like that, then bring in Black Sun and Xizor.

I don't care if he is Legends now. Make him canon.

Black Sun is canon after Clone Wars Season 5. Xizor, unfortunately, isn’t.

Also, if you really think having Maul survive was stupid, tell that to George Lucas. It was his idea.

Apologies to Filoni if that's true.

Lucas should be embarrassed. :(

Savage's character development was oppressed by Maul's resurrection.
