I was actually in San Francisco for the opening of Independence Day in 1996.

The trailer was for the Star Wars: SE theatrical re-release.

The entire cinema erupted like nothing I've ever seen for a trailer :metal:

Just got back from this and it was shockingly bad. Inept, lazy, unoriginal, cliched to extreme levels, not fun and flat out stupid.

No matter how much you love ID4 - and I am definitely a big fan of it - this movie will do nothing for you. Do not see it.
