Not best moments or most iconic moments. I mean the moments where you still feel like a kid again, 30 years later.

A few that come to mind:

- "Luke, Luke...." music swells
- Binary sunset

- "Obi-wan Kenobi...now that's a name I haven't heard in a long time..."
- "The Jedi Knights were the guardians of peace and justice in the Old Republic. Before the Dark Times....before the Empire."

- "We're all fine here thank you...how are you?"

- "Luke, you've switched off your targeting computer. What's wrong?" "Nothing. I'm all right." music swells.

- "That is the system. And I'm sure Skywalker is with them. Set your course for the Hoth system. General Veers: Prepare your men."
- "The rebels are alert to our presence. Admiral Ozzel came out of lightspeed to close to the system..."

- When Han bangs the Falcon to start it up and the "Han and Leia" theme chimes in

- The opening phase of the asteroid field chase. Especially the shot where the Falcon takes a dive to evade fighters and the destroyers "Great...well we can still outmaneuver them!" THAT is Star Wars.

- "I cannot teach him. The boy has no patience..."
- "That...is why you fail."
- "If you only knew the POWER of the dark side."

- "Luke..."
"Father"
"Son...come with me...."
"Ben...why didn't you tell me..."
"...Luke...it is your...destiny..."
"....Ben...why didn't you tell me!?!"

- When the horns kick in during the sail barge sequence
- First sound of Emperor's Theme

- "Do you remember your mother: your real mother?"
- "Obi-wan once thought as you do..."

- The sequence Vader turns back
- "Luke...you were right. You were right about me. Tell your sister: you were right."

- Funeral pyre
- Luke gases on the force ghosts and Leia shakes him back to reality

The Death Star trench run will still put me on the edge of my seat.

But really, Luke gazing out at the twin sunset will give me tears. Every. Damn. Time. It's that perfect moment, both comforting and giving the sense of longing for something greater in the world.

What moments don't give me goosebumps?

One moment that always stands out from all the films and really establishes the classic greatest film of all time status of the original Star Wars is the scene where the robots jettison in the escape pod and there's this incredible flourish on the score, the likes of which we've never heard anything close to since.

The Death Star II run. I still can't believe it was made in 1983, when I look at most contemporary action sequences, they're way behind what ILM was doing. Everything from the surface run to the hide-and-seek in the tunnels, emerging into the core, escaping the fireball, it's all top-notch. :funkyninja: :funkyninjaz:

"If you will not turn to the dark side, then perhaps she will."

"No!"

The sequence that follows always gives me chills. Have to thank John Williams for that.
