Thrilling episode! Kept me on the edge of my seat from the mysterious murder 'til the end. And that murder was scary as shit. The unexpectedness of it coupled with the expression of the victim? Chilling. :|

About Tarkin, he has some great, ruthless interactions with Ahsoka in the episode and his voice-acting is excellent. I can't wait to see how this character is used in the remaining episodes. Fascinating to watch such an odious character.

Totally loved the design of the military prison complex and the surrounding plaza. Beautiful but sinister.

About the end, I thought the nod to The Fugitive was perfect. And it was cool seeing the bit of Coruscant also seen in the upcoming game, Star Wars: 1313. Wonder if any of the next episodes will take place down there.

I was going to write exactly that. The end was just too obvious for the Fugitive homage. I was also going to jump onto the 1313, but they already went there a few times, so it's nothing special at the moment :)
It's nice seeing some more emotions on the jedi though - they are becoming more visual with their feelings. Clones look brilliant here as well, and the force fields remind me of the Phantom Menace lightsaber fight.

Holy-shit-what-an-episode that's about all I can say :o

For the 1st time in 5 seasons I didn't see the end of the episode coming, I mean not in the sense of guessing what will happen at the end, but literally I was so much into it I couldn't believe it had already been 20minutes!!

Now can't wait to see what this arc will bring, i'm now about 100% sure it will be my favorite of this season, as badass as the Maul arc was, Ahsoka story is just the most interesting and touching to me. Seriously if we keep getting such quality TCW, chances are I won't be that much impatient waiting for episode 7!

ps: very cool to see Poggle and Wat Tambor in their cells on the cams during Letta's murder. Now bring on Ventress!

Great episode. Fast paced action that kept me on my seat and never got stale. Loved the use of Tarkin and all the nods to his appearance in ANH.

After rewatching the season finale trailer, I feel pretty confident that Ahsoka doesn't get killed. Maybe captured and put on trial, but nothing lethal. I first thought that Asajj was posing as a Jedi to plant the bomb. But now I think she'll appear in this arc as a bounty hunter hired simply to find Ahsoka. [spoil]Bariss is the traitor.[/spoil]

She probably knows who it is, but there's no way the person you indicated is the traitor. She wouldn't choke a person from another room.
Anyway, didn't anyone find it funny that the sewers just go straight to the lower levels of Coruscant ? Looks like they don't give a damn about them :D

It's just my guess based on a bunch of little pieces of supposition and gut feeling. The character's lines and demeanor in this episode point to some underlying issue within them. It would also follow the formula that crime dramas seem to have as far as an obvious "twist" and we found out from Dave Filoni that the writer Charles Murray has experience in these kind of stories. Plus, them being the traitor might rock Ahsoka's world enough that she decides to leave the order. Finally, I do believe that this particular character is not seen ROTS, so their fate is up in the air.

Ventress seems like a more obvious choice. It does fit her MO. But it's a little too obvious. I think it will end up being somebody we are familiar enough with. Not some new character we have no care for. It doesn't make sense for this particular character to go dark. But this is a war, after all. People break.

Now this was a great episode. The animation was superb, the music was great, and it was nice to see tidbits like Wat Tambor, Loathsom, and Poggle on the cell cameras.

I think the killer is …
[spoil][align=left]…Maul. Sidious’ plan was to setup Ahsoka and allow her to escape. Sidious or Maul then makes Ventress aware of a bounty on Ahsoka. Ventress kills or is framed as the killer of Ahsoka. Anakin is made aware of Ventress’ role and seeks revenge.

Ahsoka is a hindrance to Anakin’s turning and Ventress is a loose end. This plot eliminates Ahsoka and puts Anakin back on his fateful path. Sidious may send Maul after Dooku or dispatch with Maul for good after things play out.

I don’t expect Ahsoka to be killed. (During the Google chat a few weeks ago, Eckstein stated that this arch was important for Ahsoka’s “growth.” Filoni promptly warned to her not give too much away. I don't think that Ahsoka can grow as character if she's dead.) I think that Ahsoka and Ventress will wise-up to the game and abscond. They will go rogue together and may try to solve the mystery of Sidious’ identity. Anakin may believe them both to be dead, which would set-up a very dark season 6 for him.[/align][/spoil]
No new preview yet.

I loved how Tarkin touched Ahsoka's chin the same way he touches Leia's in ANH before blowing up Alderaan.

Who ever the killer is, they're working with Palpatine. Otherwise, they wouldn't have been able to access the security system and the prison. Here' s the new preview:

So good. I like Yoda's seeming annoyance over Anakin's position.

These last 3 story arcs represent some of the best work Filoni and crew have done, on all levels. Storytelling, animation, everything.

Love that the police voices sounded like OT Stormtroopers. Funny that whatever that Rodian says is the same speech for "Jabba's through with you!" from ANH. Yeah, major dork alert on that one.

The past few episodes have been great. It's sad that this might be the final arc we see of the show :(

The word from people in a position to know is that Disney wants all focus on the Sequel Trilogy, and that Kennedy and the Disney brass are not fans of the show. It's not looking good.

Nope. They have no network on which to air a Season Six. Considering the amount of online petition and letter writing campaigns that have popped up during the last week, it seems like the crew is asking its supporters to make some noise. Fro example, this is from the guys that used to do the Forcecast (now Rebel Force Radio):

Quote:
From what we understand, Disney is focusing and investing all resources on The Sequel Trilogy. Word is, there is little support for TCW from the new decision-makers at Disney. Regardless about what we have been hearing about production being done on future seasons, publicly, there is NO DEAL IN PLACE FOR TCW SEASON SIX to air on any network. Fan support right now is HUGE as the suits at Disney determine the fate of TCW. If we don't get an announcement soon about the future of the show, you can, and should, fear the worst. Hasbro has cancelled the CW action figure line, the show will not return on Cartoon Network, and there is a lack of support by the Disney head honchos. GET THE WORD OUT NOW! This is not a time to be passive...As fans, we must be proactive and protect the future of The Clone Wars.

Quote:
But the bottom line is that we are hearing that the corporate suits at Disney are not into the show. That is why it is on the bubble. And, yes, it IS on the bubble. So I recommend writing a letter to Disney NOW.

Quote:
We have inside sources passing info to us. We are not at liberty to name names, but we are not making this up.

Considering they've had regular appearances from Filoni and most of the cast for the last five years on their show, they most definitely have their connections. Bryan Young (who also is close to the crew) has said pretty much the same thing.

How about the possibility of a straight-to-Blu-ray/DVD release?

Star Wars: The Clone Wars - The Lost Season. ;)

Despite being on the bubble, production seems to go forward. Witwer recently talked about the casting of an important and "well-known" character for an upcoming season.

The only "important, well-known characters" left to cast, I can think of, would be replacing Palpatine or Han Solo.

I just realized that new episodes of Clone Wars play on Friday in Canada so I got to see To Catch a Jedi a day in advance.

Great episode, but it's now painfully clear that it's Barriss. If it's not, it's going to be a pretty big reach.

I did like that Ventress is being used as a pawn and is also being framed. I really like the character development on Ventress over the last few seasons.

I'm curious to see the resolution, but with Ahsoka captured it seems that the only resolution that would make sense with one episode to go is Barriss giving herself up in some way or Anakin somehow letting Ahsoka breakout again.
