Exactly. That pic looks like it could be lifted off the set of Episode VII and everyone here would be going nuts. Of anyone, he's probably the biggest lock to have a role in the movie.

If it's done right, he could turn in a memorable performance and be a perfect call-back to Sir Alec.

I almost think that the most important thing there is the (as is everything) tentative notion that EpVII may be set far into the future of EpVI. That's a rich environment that outside of the SW:Legacy comics hasn't really been explored (and while I don't dislike Legacy, I wouldn't mind so much if it were relegated to alt-canon).

Just because its EPVII doesn't automatically assume its picking up straight after the events of ROTJ. I like the idea of at least a 20-30 yr gap similar to the previous trilogies.

I'm quite buzzed for this now and really interested in getting some idea of the story and the characters involved.

They'll have to place it around 30 years after ROTJ if they want the trio to match their actors age.

I've seen the snotty response "Jeeze, must be nice to have that kind of cash to donate", or people going off on some idea that Lucas is a believer in 2012 appocolypse, so it doesn't really count. Some people are just plain determined to be assholes.
