Wow. They had already been showing Friday night's episode on Saturday mornings, so basically they are just eliminating one time slot? :what:

This can't be a good sign for a potential Season 6...

Has there actually been any indication that viewership is falling off for TCW? I know it gets thrown around by fans as if it's fact, but I don't recall ever seeing any actual numbers which would support this idea.

I love how the show has gotten more cinematic in scale each year.

It makes sense that Sidious would choose Tyranus over Maul. Palpatine needs to control both side of the war in order to see his scheme to fruition. If he rejects Dooku, he’s likely to keep the CIS for himself.

What’s up with Asajj in the trailer? While I like her Sith Apprentice helmet, I ‘m going to be disappointed if she has reverted back to a one-dimensional villain.

It’s of note that the chalk mural at Celebration suggested a deadly fate for several key characters. Also, a secretive scene between Anakin and Ahsoka was recently recorded.

A show called Young Jedi was aired at Celebration. It appears to be a Clone Wars spinoff that is aimed at younger children.

Don’t quote me, but I think viewership in the US has gone from a peak of approximately 2.5 million viewers to a current average of less than 1.25 million viewers. (Or maybe it's less than 1 million now?)

After this year, the series will be ready for syndication. Once the show is in everyone’s face five days a week, Lucasfilm may be hoping for a bump in viewership sometime in season 6.

The original plan was to have 6 seasons of The Clone Wars. At the time of last year’s premier, the scripts for season 6 had been finalized and additional scripts were being written.

As a whole, there’s no reason to think that Lucas can’t wrap-up the series in a tidy fashion at the end of season 6 or in a shortened or full season 7. Irrespective of the show's time slot and ratings, I think it's time to realize that the series is on its way to ending.

The 100th episode airs this year - that's what Lucas was aiming for - 100 episodes and we all know, that it cannot go on forever.

But then does it really matter what day and time this thing is broadcast? I'd rather just watch it at starwars.com and then buy the Blu Ray later than to bother with commercial tv schedules.

I agree. I haven't watched an episode premier in a couple of years. I just wait for someone to upload it in 720p. Cartoon Network in HD isn't available to me here, anyways.

This move probably didn't need to be approved by Lucasfilm, but I doubt many outside the show really care. A cynic could view the series as only a glorified 22-minute commercial every week. I'm sure this show and its merchandise makes GL some serious bank. My sister-in-law runs a daycare and at least half of her kids show up in Clone Wars gear once a week.

They've taken it down for some reason (Lucas PR?). Here's a cached version:

Not that it does much good as the video interviews on YT are now made private.

Can anyone, who had a chance to view the videos before they went private, dish out what was said? I'm really curious. Zaius?

If people want the ratings check out the List_of_Star_Wars:_The_Clone_Wars_episodes Wikipedia page.

If my math is right the average rating per episode of season 4 was a little bit above 1.70, so it’s still pretty good for a children’s channel.

Minor quibble about that clip: Darth Maul states the Sith's Rule of Two exactly like Yoda in TPM. Kinda weird.

Nope, he doesn’t say "no more, no less". It’s probably Yoda quoting Sith scripture, or something like that, and not Maul quoting Yoda.

Yes, but that proves nothing. Filoni confirmed that he will be in Season 6, and besides, he's one of the voice actors of the series.

Logan may be voicing a clone cadet this season.

When the series began, I never remotely imagined that this scene would occur on the show. I find it be completely awesome even though admittedly it’s only slightly less of sheep's wet dream than the clip below.

Here's some new stuff via TSN:

• Ventress will pair up w/ someone more interesting than Obi-Wan.

I'm thinking Hondo. They seem to be on the same moral journey. Hondo already dated one pasty bald chick and he appears to be a bit of a Father Figure to young Boba, so would that make Ventress Boba's Wicked-Step-Mother-in-loco-parentis? Who else would be up to the job? Anyway, it would be a hoot so see Hondo and Ventress argue about right and wrong. Or maybe Ventress will steal Lux away from Ashoka. Now THAT would give our little goat-horned girl a real reason to get red in the face! Hmmm. Probably not gonna happen. Maybe Hondo?

Say, where is the conversation about Detours? What do y'all think of that? Can it sustain more than a season? The Robot Chicken and Lego specials are funny as hell, but they are intermittent and cull from the whole Saga to fill one episode. Just wondering if this can hold up week after week, year after year. Maybe! ;-)

I would rather see Lucasfilm spending their resources to make a TCW type show set in a different era, that being said I think it’s going to be funny. I don’t think they will be able to make this an ongoing series though, I don’t think there is enough material to keep making fun of Star Wars year after year on a regular basis.

I'm surprised no one has posted about this. The last 15 seconds of this video seem to be hinting at Ahsoka's fate. Are these scenes from an episode from the latter part of this season or from beyond?

That review of the storyline (which can be hard to follow for sure with all the sideline episodes) made me understand a concept about Ahsoka...

I often would tell my friends how I felt Ahsoka was way too impulsive and brash for a Jedi and therefore that the Clone Wars series was aiming to please North-American younger folks. But in one of the episodes she is met by a force spirit representing herself in the future, which tells her that her Master has planted the seeds of the darkside in her. Her not-so-jedi attitude makes more sense to me now. It's important to me because I grew up on the Jedi philosophy and attitude presented in the original movies, which ask them to be much more zen in order to avoid losing control of the themselves.
