The Rickmeister opened his mouth for IGN the other day. The title of the series is not “Underworld” as previously reported. However, the show does take place in the Coruscant Underworld. At least 50 “provocative and bold” episodes have been written. Each show is packed with more effects than the films. Presently, Lucas is shooting for a budget of five to six million (!) per episode.

just my thoughts:
lets say the live action 'underworld' series has been cancelled

still having the scripts, they incorporate some of these ideas in the clone wars animated show & game(s)
- Clone Wars Season V: Black Sun Crime Organization being introduced
- Star Wars 1313: bounty hunter in criminal underworld beneath Coruscant

Perhaps some of these ideas/concepts where meant for the live action show
especially SW 1313 sounds a lot of what i personally expected from the live action show

anyway just my ramblings,i dont post too often :o
:)

Canceled? No. Delayed for another 10 to 20 years? Possibly.

I think the Lucas is fully aware that this show may not happen in his lifetime. As such, he is having the series written now so it will have his full blessing. So far, they've got 50 scripts finalized. They need another 80 or more to flesh out a full 6-year series. Keep pushing GL and company.

Kathleen Kennedy has been named Co-Chair of Lucasfilm as Lucas goes into [s]permanent hiding[/s] retirement.

Steven Spielberg wrote:
George's prescience is once again proven by his choice of my long time producing partner, Kathy Kennedy to co-chair Lucasfilm. Kathy has been a member of both of our families going into a fourth decade so it does not feel like she is going to another galaxy far far away. She will get just as much support from me with Lucasfilm as George has given both of us all these years.
