It's episodes like these where I wished they'd choose between the adult and child themes.

As much as I loved the slave jumping to her death and the slave master that killed 6 togruta to make a point, it irked me that the exaggerated expressions for Ashoka and Anakin to the "slave" role play.

It's the exact same balance we see in the films themselves.

If by "films" you mean prequels and the reason why they weren't as good as originals.

I was thinking of Return of the Jedi actually. With the Ewoks and then the drama that goes on in the final lightsaber battle.

I think there are way more childish moments on the OT than on the PT.

So ROTJ is more childish than the PT?

I think ROTJ and TPM are about equal, but that's just me.

I really liked this episode of The Clone Wars. It's one that makes me very anxious to see what happens next.

Teddy Bears. Nearly every scene with the Ewoks are what I refer to as "Family Friendly" moments - and that's OK. Star Wars is a family film. It's not a serious drama like "No Country For Old Men" - It's a Fairy Tale set in outer space.

Slaves of the Republic was a great episode. Watched it again last night and was just as impressed. So many great new things to look at too. Can't wait to see how this one wraps up.

I can live with that, but i would personally hold ROTJ a step above, may hold it close to AOTC. For all the Ewoks, it's balanced by Jabba's Palace, the Epic Space Battle and the Throne Room scene.

In general, though, while I like this episode, I can do without the bad lines and the literal cringes by the main characters. I get that they're trying to bring some lightness to the script, given the weighty issue of Slavery, but I think they can do it a better way.

The ewoks eat effing man-flesh, or at least were about to.

And then a bunch of them get blown the fuck up. They are beheading stormtroopers for fucksake and drumming on the war-trophies at the end of the film.

If that makes the ewoks family-friendly, well your family is all kinds of fucked up my friend.

I've always wondered what the Ewoks would have done with baked R2-D2.

Does anyone have an issue with this thread being split off from the Clone Wars Forum's Slaves Of The Republic thread?

Ewoks vs The Prequels has no where else to go but downhill especially combined with pyramid quoting.

Another edit in that thread resulted in a rather stern yet polite private message accusing me of removing a link and "moving it" to my first post to make look like I either posted it or uploaded it (my megaupload links are actually my own). There is a method to the madness and there is reasoning behind it all:

The first post in each Clone Wars Episode thread will always contain links posted in a non-obvious format. This is because Lucasfilm really came after us one or two summers ago when the Hasbro "Secrets" video files were ripped and uploaded. Not only was a rare non-form C&D letter sent to us threatening to take away the domain - all previous Clone Wars episodes were deleted. Which meant I had to re-upload the previous seasons episodes and then edit them in. (Up to 50 episodes and topics!).

Another reason why links are edited or deleted is so that each topic is a discussion one instead of a Where Da Filez At one. That is - each thread doen't degenerate into rapidshareblog.blogspot.com where post after post is:

Code:

Glee.S0204.XviD.1080p.DCCKillaZ.mkv

http://www.rapidshare.de/fille01.rar
http://www.rapidshare.de./fille02.rar
http://www.rapidshare.de./fille03.rar
...
http://www.rapidshare.de/fille99.rar

pass: epiclulzkrew

There is no race here on posting Clone Wars files or any files in general. The goal is however to post original uploads - not copypasted from other sources - of the highest quality files using the arguably best filehosts (mediafire, megaupload, and adrive).

Also this thread sucks. The first post by "dan76" on the site is begging for more files. Of course we have them and they are uploaded in the restricted Cargo Forms. Along comes another new member "phantomjanni" who copypasted some split file archives format using the "CODE" tag no less.

Well anyway if anyone has issues with this or other shit feel free post here or elsewhere using so-called racist or homophobic rhetoric.

I don't have a problem with it, either side.

Degenerates like us should be locked up anyway.

As for files...you know, I'll consider this like any other forum, what we have isn't permanent, isn't a given and can leave at any time. It's not my forum, it's not my anything, but i get to post here, I get to hang out with relatively cool hoodlums, and pass some time. It's about the people here, not the content, necessarily.

I am thrilled whenever anyone who isn't me posts in reservation. Split more whacky TFN out-takes here at your leisure.

As far as "link-gate", I've always been fond of the way things get organized here, eventually. If you need to alter/copy/paste/move/daterape any info or links I post here, feel free. I assume that anything I bring in can be man-handled at will by the management.

It's like how you bring your girlfriend to the orgy, and not your wife. Y'know? If you want to keep it special, keep it to yourself.

I am the great and powerful Ozzzzzz....oh wait, no I'm not.

Forgive my neglect of our fair community. I have become addicted to porn and video games. And mary juana.

I hope this doesn't derail my Presidential campaign for 2016.

Actually, it's the "Free Your Mind" platform, but the free pornography is encouraged. 18+ only please, this is America afterall.

First, I say we trash the global economy by ditching the central banks and shafting the IMF. Then, annex Canada and Mexico, and eventually China. Hola, taxpayer nuevo! Those people all want to be Americans anyway. The giant Captain America robot-army and the free pot will win over the hard-heads.

We should encourage the development of matter transubstantiation, and individualized human flight as transport. Landfills would become the new gold-mines, and we would eliminate suffering and want from the world by turning trash into energy or "stuff". By eliminating the dependance on ground transportation, nature itself would no longer be an obstacle and we could usher in a new era of human development and evolution.

A self-actualized planet. Galactic Empire, 2020.

Vote O'Blix/2016. Vote for a Brighter Tomorrow.

In all honesty, I think there will be a lot of changes once Dec. 22, 2012 rolls around. A lot of people have the heeby-jeebies about the whole "Mayan Calender" bit. Me, I think there's a much better chance that we can't read Mayan than there is that the whole world goes kaplooey.

If I could get paid for getting laid, I would so go for it. So how can I fault someone else for doing it?

Seems like a lousy job though. They should unionize.

I sure hope so. I'm pretty sure my "The 2 Party System is a Shameless Charade" angle will make things a touch 'difficult' however.
