(Yes, this is a shameless plug, but I want to share the news with you, and I need your help spreading the word BEFORE it actually comes out.)

We did all the field work, research, photography, etc ourselves. Yes, much of this info is spread across numerous magazines, books, websites, blogs, etc, but NO ONE has put together a one-stop-shop for every single bit of info regarding all the domestic shooting locations, (and many other locations of interest & relevance.)

In A Galaxy Not So Far Away... The Star Wars Filming Locations of the U.S.

I'm just now starting to spread the word online. Posting a few photos, sharing bits of info. I'm biased, but this book is something you're likely going to want to pick up. If you're at all into the reference books, this is a perfect addition. It's not some fly-by-night 20-page pamphlet in black-and-white. It's a full-color book, give or take 200 pages, and will be sold through Amazon, B&N and more.

Check out the first few rumblings on the Facebook page I just created at:

In A Galaxy Not So Far Away... (The Facebook Page)

The companion site is under development at www.starwarsroadtrips.com.

Check it out, and watch for many more photos, stories, posts, info, etc. Once again, I need your help spreading the word. Thanks in advance.

Very nice. How many of the spots have you guys traveled to? I know David Reynolds did a lot of that early location stuff too.

ALL of them. Multiple times. (And we DO discuss and credit Reynolds' work in the book.) Photos, maps, gps coordinates, detailed directions, history, anecdotes, you name it. It's in there. Again, I know that I'm biased, but I do believe that this is gonna be a very good reference. Be sure to go to the FB site and check out the photos. "Like" it too, if you get a chance, so you'll get the stories, announcements, etc. once I really start making them.

Thanks a ton for the kind words. Spread the word to friends if you feel so inclined.

Did you visit just the US-locations, or have you been in Tunesia, Norway, Italy etc too?

Cool. Just don't refer to Buttercup Valley as "Yuma, AZ" because its not. It frustrates me when they say ROTJ was filmed in Yuma, AZ. That's the one and only SW location I've been to.

I wrote a book once. It was called "Travels Around Uranus". But somebody told me it was a piece of shit and the whole thing got flushed down the drain. :XD:

No, really though, good job on having an actual book coming out! That's got to be exciting. Hope it does well.
