Then I assume that we will get the older DVD deleted scenes from the prequels?

I think we'll be lucky if we get the DVD deleted scenes ON TOP of those (if those are indeed confirmed to be the scenes).

This set isn't shaping up to be an "ultimate" edition so I don't see why it would include the DVD scenes.

True. There are a couple of things I wish were going to be included (Empire of Dreams, the PT docs from the DVD releases), but there is still a shit ton of stuff to get through in the Blu Ray extras.

Whoa, General Veers death scene? Hobbie crashes his snowspeeder into the walker's head.

Wasn't the rough cut of Phantom Menace like 3+ hours long? I mean, I'm not dying to see it or anything, but I'd definitely be interested. Supposedly, there was a TON of material deleted from that one. Too bad about the selection of cut scenes. They could make an entire release out of them.

Slow down there! It looks like a crap load of the "deleted" scenes are actually either animatics, or storyboard sequences (I'm looking at YOU "Veers' death"). Not sure how much of these are going to be complete, or completeable, deleted scenes. While some neat stuff we've never even dreamed still existed is included, no doubt about it there is a TON of stuff missing from this release.

As a former aficionado of the prequel deleted scenes I'm pretty happy with most of the selections. I was really hoping we'd get an extended Dooku duel for AOTC since there was so much cut from it.

At least it seems we'll be getting some extra stuff from the Mustafar duel. As well as the original ending to the Qui-Gon/Maul desert duel where Maul jumps onto the Nubian ramp as it's taking off. I also hope the "Extended Arena Fight" includes some of the excised Mace-Jango material.

I'm not sure I saw anything about extra material from the Mustafar duel (although that is one area that probably REALLY needs it if any of the cut stuff is dialogue) aside from animatics used in preping the duel and something about working on the lava.

Again, it's hard to say just from that spy report what is a deleted scene and what is just unused production material that never made it in front of the cameras. Would have been nice to see the alternate versions of Anakins' turn as well, and we'll see I guess, in less than a month, but I'm not holding my breath at this point.

Most of the prequel deleted stuff seems pretty underwhelming to me (the boarding ramp is going to be, what, an extra couple of seconds? The less Jake Lloyd the better, although the Lost 20 stuff I am looking forward to as it may give some much needed context to Dooku, and why the assumption shouldn't just be from the start that he's evil, not simply disillusioned with the Jedi.
