Just as an FYI it is pretty much known that the employees at LucasArts have the full scores for Attack Of The Clones and Revenge Of The Sith.

If any of you guys know someone who works for LucasArts, or maybe know a friend that knows a friend maybe you can get your hands on copies of the full scores and leak em' here, eh?

The reason why I know this is because I contacted Jesse Harlin (the music editor for Battlefront 2) through myspace and he said he does have the full scores for AOTC and ROTS but could not give them out due to his contact, blah blah blah blah.

However maybe some of you guys might be even luckier if you actually know someone inside LucasArts.

That would be the greatest leak in the world. The best part of the prequels have always been the music.

If you think about it though, we don't have a complete score of TPM really either. All we have is the movie version.

But yea, leaks of the prequels would probably be the biggest musical orgy ever.

I've made my own complete score for the Phantom Menace using all the unused music from the OST and the various Episode I games. All though I must admit 2 unused cues from the various games were left off the set because I did NOT know where they went.

There is no looped music in my set like there is the U.E. The volume levels for the Ultimate Edition material has been lowered by 1.5 decibles since it was way to damn loud. Also the Battle Of Naboo is in it's original intended order. It's over all a LOT better to listen to than the U.E.

I know it's a 'bootleg' but it's all we have for now until they release the real thing.

I know, you posted that complete TPM score a little while ago, didn't you? If that was you then I absolutely loved it, but we're sure that's all the music recorded for TPM? I just wasn't sure. I guess you can check it with recording sessions, right?

But yea, there has to be SOMEONE who could get the other stuff.

I never understood the need for music that's not even in the movie.

You're telling me you wouldn't be interested in hearing alternative takes of John Williams music for a Star Wars film? Given the continuing quality output from this artist and incredible importance of his music to the feel and texture of Star Wars, I'd say this is equivalent to releasing alternate or deleted scenes.

I'm sure in the future there'll be some sort of complete release, as in 1997 with the 20th anniversary of the OT.

Perhaps there might either a 12-CD set or just a box set of the Prequels next year to help promote the Saga DVD set.

We have yet to date had a box set for the Prequels, but we've had one for the Original Trilogy for the scores of course.

Lucasfilm has released an original soundtrack for all 6 films to help promote each movie. They even re-released the OT scores in 2004 as we know to help promote the DVD set. So as I suggested there maybe a good possibility that next year we may get a box set of the Prequel scores (hopefully their original intended versions). I guess we'll have to wait and see for sure.

Now as far as unreleased music goes...if you were a true fan of film music, fan of Williams music and a fan of Star Wars music you would want all the unreleased music. I know I do and I love getting as much as I can. A lot of good material were bound to be left off the OST's and we knew this from the Original Trilogy OST releases.

I for one would take any sort of 2-CD set of AOTC and ROTS, even if both were another Ultimate Edition like TPM. I would be getting both sets souly for the unreleased music and that is why I bought the Ultimate Edition of TPM. That is also why I wished that people on jwfan didn't bitch so much about the edits of the Ultimate Edition and just enjoyed it for the great unreleased music. Anyways...enough from me, I'm blabbering now.

Yes, that's what I'm saying. I really couldn't care less about music that didn't make it into the film.

That doesn't mean I'm pleased with how much music in AOTC was recycled from TPM. I wish the film itself featured more of Williams' original works. However, when I listen to a complete score from one of the films I want it to be the music as it is in the movie.

Well, I for one find it fascinating to hear musical material that was cut or unused. Being a film score fanatic, it's just something that is very interesting. Not because I'm a completist or wish the AOTC score was different. It's educational.

While I agree with the entirety of your post, wishing people on the internet would stop bitching is simply unrealistic in every way!

An AOTC "complete score" as presented in the film would pretty much be a joke. There'd be no reason to bother with film versions of Chase Through Coruscant, Arena, Conveyor Belt, etc. because the album versions aren't butchered and temp-tracked. Would they even be presentable as they are in the movie?. It would be worth pirating for a few unreleased cues, though. I'd be much more be interested in a ROTS Ultimate CD.

If they do new albums, I'd like them to be in the style of the OT Special Edition soundtracks.

So what exactly do we have now in regards to the scores? Several video games have come out in the past year including the force unleashed 2. I haven't updated my prequel scores in ages. Anyone got anything?

For TPM we practically have everything, minus the film version for "Augie's Great Municipal Band". All though for my edit I did a hybrid of rear channel DVD rips and clean music for that cue. I did include the clean album version as a bonus track.


For AOTC I would say we have maybe 50% of the score clean. For ROTS we have probably about 98% of it clean.

These were posted in a different part of the forum, but you may not have access to it. Anyways here are my complete intended edits of the scores. AOTC and ROTS do have rear channel DVD rips for the non clean music. There are also synth mock-ups in my AOTC and ROTS edits for pieces that have never surfaced. I know someone who has the sheet music for both of the scores and he used that to create the synth mock-ups. He can't trade the sheet music, so don't ask.

Anyways I'll post the links below, just be sure to use gapless playback since cues run into each other like they do in the film. Keep in mind these were edited to be the intended editions. They're not film version edits like a lot of people seem to do.

I'm still holding out hope for a complete recordings for the saga to be released later this year or next year to compliment the new blu-ray releases.
